Located on the Springfield Plateau deep in the Ozark Mountains, Springdale has long been an important industrial city for the region. In addition to several trucking companies, the city is home to the world headquarters of Tyson Foods, the world's largest meat producing company. Originally named Shiloh, the city changed its name to Springdale when applying for a post office in 1872. The four-county Northwest Arkansas Metropolitan Statistical Area is ranked 109th in terms of population in the United States with 463,204 in 2010 according to the United States Census Bureau. The city had a population of 69,797 at the 2010 Census.

Panda Buffet was once a FANTASTIC Chinese Buffet in Fayetteville, AR. They did an enormous amount of business, and the food was always good and fresh, even at slower times of the day. My understanding is that the restaurant changed hands, and shortly afterward, they sold the Fayetteville location and moved to Springdale. Although I'm sure there's some exaggeration, the stories about people eating here and getting sick are numerous. I went in recently, and I couldn't stay. I wanted to know if it was all rumors and ridiculous stuff. I worked in restaurants for years, while I was going to college. The restaurant smelled bad, the buffet looked dirty and dodgy, and I had a bad feeling. I wouldn't stay.

Things was not good. The crab legs was so salty that you could not eat them just not good and everything else was ok but could have been better.

Tried it cause a friend suggested it. Rude rude rude. They don't do fried rice with meals? Only white and brown rice . I asked if we got it how much of an up charge for fried rice...answer...4.00!Meal was incorrect. Serving size was large but not what we ordered. Lady at front was yelling constantly on the phone. We won't be back.

I have been eating at ESan ever since they opened several years ago. Regardless of what I have have eaten here, most everything is really delicious. (The only exception is the Pho that has the meatballs in it. The meatballs taste like rubber and they contained gristle. Not very appetizing....) One of my favorite dishes here is the Green Curry with rice. I usually order it without the eggplant and mushrooms. It is served piping hot. The strong coconut flavor of the curry and the vegetables contained within it (such as baby corn, bamboo shoots and fresh green beans) are the perfect accompaniment to the white rice it is served with. I always order the chicken option, but pork and beef are other options available. This item also appears to be one of the healthier items on the menu, as it is not deep fried or cooked in oil. The combination fried rice is quite good, too. The rice is served with several different meat slices and shrimp. My family members usually order the Pad See-Yu, which consists of flat noodles cooked with vegetables, sliced meat and a brown sauce. For dessert, the Mango-Sticky Rice is really good. This consists of sticky rice which has been cooked in coconut milk and sugar; it is served with sliced mango and a thicker coconut milk sauce on top. It is another family favorite.With all of the rice and noodle meals, the chef can alter the spiciness based upon your personal preference. The spicy scale runs from "1" (low spiciness) to "5" (very hot.) I found that ordering a level "3" gives my meals just the right amount of kick while allowing me to still taste the flavor of the dish.Also, ESan can prepare food for carry out. I have often ordered meals from them to take home. The prices are reasonable enough where you can save yourself the time of preparing a meal while still eating something substantial and delicious.

A friend took me to this place for lunch a few weeks ago. I have been back 6 times. It is the best Asian food In the area. The egg rolls spring rolls and pho are awesome. The Chinese offerings like the orange chicken are wonderful. The place looks questionable on the outside but it is clean and neat with great food and great service the portions are large and the prices are very reasonable especially for the quality. I may see you there because I am working my way through the menu.

We dine at Szechuan House as often as we can. Everything we have tried has been excellent. They use the finest cuts of beef, pork and chicken. Vegetables are fresh. The coconut shrimp includes jumbo shrimp, walnuts and orange slices with a creamy coconut sauce. The Mongolian dishes are especially tasty. Lunches--served Tuesday through Friday, cost just $7.00, and include egg-rolls and soup in addition to the entree.
