On a trip to visit family in Newport when I asked my family everyone said Hardee's was the best place around the food wasn't bad but what really made the experience awesome was the young lady who worked the cash register she was so friendly and just did everything she could to save me money and help me get the best bang for my buck. She didn't have on a name tag but she was what made a lasting impression on me.
If you ever travel in the area of this little find, you should stop in and try the food and great icees! They have lots of flavors and a really good selection of menu items! All for really affordable prices! I also would like to send a big "Thank you" to the owner, who works hard to satisfy all his customers! I give this place an A+ and we will be back! Oh, and if you're planning on doing some fishing at the local state park- there is a bait shop right next door!
I am not fond of KFC chicken. I find it often under cooked. it is not your mama's home cooked chicken. It isn't even your mama's KFC. iT Isn't finger licking good anymore it is more like finger licking grease. Their cole slaw really is the best anywhere. I no longer make cole slaw - I buy KFC cole slaw
They are under new management and new chef. The grilled shrimp and steaks were excellent. A very welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely go back. You wonât be disappointed.

Our table was greeted with complimentary hush puppies and cake before we could even order. The hospitality was unreal. Maybe the only thing better was the tamales which were the best Iâve ever had. Barbecue plate was terrific and seafood was dynamite. I will absolutely be back. Thanks for letting us know you loved the tamales just as much as the barbecue and seafood! It was a pleasure to have you join us, and we're looking forward to many more good times to come. See you around!Best wishes,Scott, Owner
