Located on the river in Batesville, AR.
I've eaten at this place several times over the years. It has new ownership plus a new name. I didn't think at my most recent visits all in Feb/2019 that it's as good as it use to be when it was Josey's. They use to have great lunch specials. The chicken fried steak this time wasn't great, I wouldn't order again. Then the hamburger sliders over cooked very dry which was also on the lunch special, just not very good..Again, they did do good on the fried catfish. I give them credit on that. The bread pudding was the best I've ever had anywhere previous to this visit & I think they used same receipe but it wasn't as good as previous visits when this place was Josey's. It was pretty good but wasn't as good as previous visits. I'm very critical when I go to nice restaurants to eat out as this is very important to me to have good quality food prepared by a professional chef..the food should be great. I think the new owner or whoever is in charge of chefs should be doing more QC, this will help them improve things.

This is another franchise of the Colton's steak houses you have listed in Searcy, Arkansas, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Poplar Bluff, Mississippi.
Atmosphere was nice, waitress was very pleasant and helped with the baby. However, I ordered my steak med-well with seasoned butter and onion tanglers. It came out dry as a peice of leather. I asked the waitress about the add-on, and like 10 min later she brought me a lump of frozen butter and a bowl of cold onion tanglers. The steak wasn't hot enough to melt the butter so I mashed it onto the steak, ate 1/2 of it and took the rest home, where I nuked it. It was much better at home. Also, the baked sweet potato was semi-cold and the butter was concentrate in the middle. It would have been much better had they broken up the potato insides and mooshed the butter into it prior to re-heating it. My hubby ordered a chicken-fried-steak, which looked gorgeous when it came out, but it was an entire platter of deep-fried batter...with an itty bitty flattened portion of meat inside. I've eaten at other locations and this one could use some advice from them.
