This place is well off the beaten path, unless you can make a tricky turn from the interstate onto a frontage road.My wife and I ordered the house special, the pig sandwich. The meat was very tender, not much flavor though. The homemade barbecue sauce, a vinegar based sauce, was terrific though. It really made the sandwich come to life.The menu is very well stocked. The sweet tea is excellent - as you would expect in the south. We plan to stop there again and have the barbecue ham.Last but not least: ask for Carrie. She's a terrific waitress and very nice to talk to.

We were a little disappointed in the food: the barbeque tasted baked, not smoked. The baked beans were, for lack of a better word, uneatable; not sure what the problem was. We have tried for months to catch them open, so will wait a year before trying again. We used to really like this place.

We skip the food chains when we travel if at all possible, so why not locally? At our age, it just brings back memories to eat in your car, and the barbeque is still good. Have heard that the burgers are good, but I cannot give up the pig sandwiches!
