We visited with family and Trejo's was convenient. The service was good. Food was just ok. Coming from California, it is hard to do comparable Mexican. The queso was heavy and flavorless? Chips and salsa ok. The bacon wrapped jalapenos were good. Shrimp tacos were not on the menu but they were able to do them. Asked for salt on the rim of the margarita and it did not happen.
There are several Don Juan restaurants in Hot Springs, however I think this one on Malvern is the best. Fast and friendly service and great food. I ordered a combo fajitas with chicken, steak and shrimp. The veggies are tomatoes, bell peppers and onions cook just right for me. I like a slight crunch left and not cooked too soft. The meat is not giblets of meat like so many places have gone to. Portions are very good and well worth the price. My wife ordered a steak burrito, oh my was it big. It was full of steak and covered in cheese sauce. Both entrees were cooked and seasoned well. Definitely worth the drive across town to eat here. Sorry I didn't get pictures but we were hungry.

5 of us walked in on July 3 because they advertised to come eat and watch fireworks at Oaklawn. When we arrive surprisingly over half the tables are empty but 15 or so people waiting to be seated. After waiting 10-15 minutes we are seated and then another 30 minutes later the server said she forgot to place our order. Food then served quickly and everyoneâs food is excellent. The fireworks start so we go outside to watch. Leave keys, phones etc on table since we are not finished eating. We come running back inside only to find them clearing our hardly eaten food to say âwe are not finished!!!!â They take the plates out of the busing tray and say oh here you go. COME ON!?!? At least they gave 25% discount

We stopped in here for lunch with our kids. The food is really good. I really enjoyed the salsa (thatâs my favorite part). The atmosphere is nice as well.

Have been many times but last trip was very disappointed. Food is pretty good but service is awful. Prices are decent. Try anything with shrimp.

I stop in from time to time when funds are low and I still want a filling meal. The food here is nothing to write home about but much better than fast food Mexican. The salsa is pretty weak, it tastes like Pace, but the enchiladas are good as well and other Mexican staples such as tacos and burritos. If you donât want to spend too much and need a good Tex-Mex fix this isnât bad at all, and worth a stop in.

Went for a late lunch or early dinner around 4. We were seated quickly and server took our drink order. Returned with drinks and took food orders, then disappeared. Came back with food, refreshed drinks, brought chips and then disappeared. Came back at the end of the meal, with check!! Food was very good as usual and we will probably return, but service was a bummer today!!

We asked someone in the elevator who highly recommended Jose's. We verified on Tripadvisor and sure enough it was rated 4 1/2 stars. Service was great. Food portions a little smaller than we're used to but the pricing compensates for that as the prices were very reasonable. One in party had 2 Amigos which was shrimp, rice, and something else and they thought it was awesome. I had the combo tamale, beef taco, and cheese enchilada. They brought all the chips and salsa we could eat which was a lot as we were very hungry. Loved the spicy salsa. They had a calmer salsa as well. We would do it again.

Stopped here after another restaurant didn't work out and we were so glad we stopped here. The salsa was really good, but our favorite was the sweet heat salsa. The beef and shrimp fajitas were delicious as well as the chicken tacos. Rice and beans were some of the best we have ever had!

Voted Best Mexican Food in the State. Everything made from scratch. Vegetarian friendly.
We had a nice visit. I tasted a swirl and a frozen margarita and both were good. Try to catch happy hour! The refried beans taste homemade and are quite good. The salsa is also tasty, but not perfect. All-in-all, itâs an excellent restaurant with good service. Go visit!
