Things to do in El Dorado
Some choices (yogurt with fruit) were a bit different, but welcome. Great meal, good atmosphere, friendly staff.
Looking for true Mexican, this place is the best. Everything has a great flavor and the portions are great for even a greater price.
We ate outside on the covered patio, which had plenty of shade and foliage, along with fans, to keep us cool. It's got an excellent corner view, so I would highly recommend this as a great place for a date. The food and drinks were very tasty, and the servers were friendly, too.
Authentic Mexican Restaurant.
Iâve been at least 15 times now, either getting to-go orders or dining in. All of my friends agree that they have the best Mexican food in town, and one of them used to work at another Mexican restaurant. Their queso is the perfect consistency and their food is always hot when youâre ordering in. Be aware that it is a small restaurant and it can get packed quickly. The waitresses are very accommodating and the only problem Iâve seen is rude customers. Like every restaurant, this isnât a place or introverts or close-minded people. Their food is delicious and consistent.

The restaurant has more curb appeal than its inside milieu. The prices are very good, but the food could use a little seasoning. The waitstaff consisted of teenagers, and I saw an adult (perhaps the manager/owner?) once. The kids were trying to hold down the fort, but it felt unsupervised.
I asked the hotel for three suggestions and this was one of them. This is a topical Mexican restaurant based on look. They had a few different options and mixed things up a little bit on your traditional tacos, fajitas and burritos. The portion sizes are large and worth the value. I had a mixed fajita of which falls into the category of a good fajita although short on veggies. The salsa is good but they didn't have any hot sauce. They do have a homemade hot sauce but was told it had no habaneros in it so it was lacking a kick.I will be back in town on business and will revisit this establishment.
Saturday evening with the clock nearing 10pm, we were looking for .a place to grab a late dinner before heading back to Moro Bay campground Although the closing time was indicated as 10pm, I went in and asked if we could be served. They said sure, come on in. We were not hurried and received excellent service. The food was delicious and plentiful; surprisingly less expensive than what I am accustomed to for evening dining. I recommend the cheese enchiladas and tamales with chili topping. Wife had Chimichanga plate and was very happy with that. We will likely return for another meal before we leave El Dorado.

Antigua's Grill serves from a long history of family cooking, with many years perfecting the recipe of these menu offerings. From authentic Mexican cuisine to established Tex-Mex favorites, Antigua's Grill gives you plenty of reasons to eat locally. We ca
Antiguas Grill is always delicious, but the last time we were there, it was exceptional. You have to try their steak fajitas! The steak is cooked just right, mouth watering and tender. The vegetables are not cooked to death like some brand x restaurants will do. Their tea is unbelievably good also. I'm hungry just talking about it. Lunch or dinner, anytime is great!

Went do dinner on a Saturday night and the place maybe had 6-7 tables. I think that is a reflection of the average food. The salsa is bland and not fresh. The staff seems withdrawn. I has the chicken fajitas and the meat was bland. No Tex-Mex restaurant servers great food like Superior Grill in Shreveport, Zapataâs in Texarkana or The Colorado Grill in Hot Springs. Antigas is the best in town but I would recommend the drive to the others, itâs worth it! If that quality of food and service was available in El Dorado,There would be a wait to get a table and the owners would rake in the dollars.

This is our favorite restaurant in El Dorado. Their tacos are the crispiest, their steak is the tenderest, and their service is the friendliest!
