This is a very quaint restaurant attached to a hardware and seed store. The chickens that lay the eggs they cook are right there on site. The lettuce and tomato tasted like they were just picked from the garden. Definitely worth a stopover in Texarkana.

The Slim Chickens menu offers fresh cooked to order chicken tenders, wings, 17 different house sauces to try, a signature Cayenne Ranch chicken sandwich and fresh salads, authentic sides, iced teas (sweet, unsweet, raspberry, peach) and lemonade. It only
Stopped by while passing through. The chicken wings and the chick strips were both delicious. You get your choice of sauces. My son had their parmesan garlic sauce and it was full of both flavors. I had the mango habenaro, which was a good heat but mostly flavor with a sweet hot combo that I adore. I also tried their Slim Sauce, which is a house flavor. I was not fond of it; it's a little too much ketchup-flavored for my tastes. Mom had the BBQ and commented that it was a little smokey spicey for her. I do wish there was a Slim Chickens near me.So good to hear, Heather! We can't wait to see you again!

This small dive is in the middle of nowhere Texarkana, Arkansas. Let me tell y'all it is worth the drive. Especially for those lovers of spice. Pop's Place has amazing food, friendly service, and a fun atmosphere. They are a bit more on the pricey side, so make sure to plan to spend. Definitely has a different menu selection that the average restaurant, which makes for a unique dining experience. This place is busy most anytime.thank you very much,we try to give a great experience

I had the salmon salad The salmon was a bit over cooked, the toast hard as a rock, but otherwise okay. My wife had the ahi tuna. It was medium rare as ordered, but the quality of ahi substandard and the roll dry. The presentation of both meals was attractive and the wait staff attentive. They have great reviews and a nice crowd last night so perhaps this was an off night. No dessert. We thought it best to save those calories for a better stop.

We each had something different and all 4 in our family loved their choices...fried pork chop, pesto chicken sandwich, bbq burger, California sandwich. Not that we expected fast food, but the servers werenât super attentive and it wasnât that busy. However...the food was delicious!

Legendary Food, Legendary Service
We really like it here. Service is always friendly. Sometimes a bit slow when they're busy but we don't mind when having cocktails and that amazing yeasty bread they have. That junk is GOOOOD! Steaks are good and prepared to the correct temp. Best thing is that it doesn't break the bank!

For over 53 years The Cattleman's Steak House has been the standard of fine dining in the Texarkana area. Locally owned and operated by the Oliver family, the Cattleman's is legendary for quality food at a great value. We offer hand-cut steaks and scrumpt
Always enjoy the food and especially on Tuesday nights for the Prime Rib special of $17.95. It is an outstanding mean for the price and we have never been disappointed. Fresh produce always and the best soups and home made corn bread anywhere. Never been there that the service was not excellent!

The napkins are extra thick for a reason. When you tie your bib on to chow down on our delicious barbecue, you'll be indulging in barbecue that's been featured in the 2009 Jack Daniel's World Championship Invitational Barbecue competition. Not to mention
Got here 10 minutes before closing time while traveling through the area. Gotta get to Namaan's. We had the Red Headed Step Child which is a sandwich with brisket, pork bbq and smoked sausage. I would wager that the sandwich would weigh a pound. Great food awesome service. Must stop if anywhere near.
