A nice family restaurant. The food was very good and fresh and folks were very friendly & helpful. Under $10 per person. Highly recommended.
Awesome Cajun catfish fillets were the highlight of the lunch buffet on my visit. Other items included meatloaf, chicken pot pie, fried chicken and chicken tenders, regular catfish, and sides like french fries, casseroles, vegetables, breads, soups and salads. There was also a wonderful assortment of desserts, all homemade, that included cakes, pies, cookies, and even a soft serve ice cream machine.Pay as you enter, sit where like, and the dining room is light and well lit, and plenty of room to maneuver around in. The entrance did not seem to be handicap friendly and I'm not sure if there was a wheelchair ramp that I overlooked, but I didn't see one.An inexpensive buffet, good country cooking, and very friendly servers. If you leave hungry, it is your own fault.

This is the 1950s creamy root beer, classic hamburger and hot dog place, one of a handful left from the original chain...located in small town Arkansas. Run by a local family, they also have Salvadoran meat pies tucked away in one corner of the menu. Hearty and tasty, and the prices are very reasonable.
This place is very new so we were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. They have a wide variety of soups, sandwiches, loaded baked potatoes, fried pickles & fried green tomatoes, salads....things you can't get just anywhere. Service was very attentive & the entire experience was very pleasant. Lunch for the both of us was $17.50 & I've heard other people say they thought they were more pricey than they were used to for lunch. But they are open until 8 pm so that would be quite reasonable for dinner unless the prices change. The food was absolutely delicious tho & the portions were large so I will definitely be going back!

Why advertise a buffet if your gonna let it stay empty with people in here! Not to mention they staff is not very friendly. Our waitress (blonde headed girl) was absolutely awful! It's hard to give a place a second chance when it was so disappointing!

when this restaurant was downtown the food and atmosphere were both great. Now that they have moved to a bigger and more remote location, the food is mediocre and the atmosphere is terrible. They should have stayed where they were. I won't be going back.

The restaurant is just too small for all the people who eat there. It is very hard to hear people at your own table and the tables are so close together. The food is fair, but the fish is always too, too salty!

We have visited the Linwood Drive location on several occasions, and the food is always consistently good. I always get the fish plate, it comes with fish, fries, slaw, and hushpuppies, but they are always willing to switch up the sides to your liking. The price is shockingly low, compared to other places that serve a similar sized meal. My dining companions usually get the barbecue sandwich plates, and the regular size is plenty of food - I can't imagine how much you get with the jumbo! This place is no-frills, but there's a lot to be said for simplicity, and I'm sure it helps keep the prices low.

With its appetizing profile of big-city dining standards in a casual, small-town setting, Chow is definitely the right destination for special occasions, or no occasion at all. Two years after opening, the restaurant has maintained a high bar for its menu, ingredients, and preparation, and when four of us enjoyed dinner there recently, our server was also exceptional. Prices are high by local standards, but justified in view of this restaurant's fine performance. As we settled in with the menu, our server brought a plate of bread squares, savoury with fennel, pepper, and carmelized onion. Our table shared an appetizer of pork spring rolls that were very nicely done, and a bowl of gumbo was downed with gusto. Our main courses were also well executed. A robust pork chop was nicely cross-hatched from the grill, veal Oscar was crowned with a healthy serving of clean crab meat, and the Chilean sea bass was flaky and delicate, though I found the miso glaze a touch too sweet. Portions were not shy, but we left room for dessert. A petite slice of chocolate chess pie, and a very petite ramekin of crème brûlée, were both fine, but the stars on the sweets menu were an excellent tres leches layer cake and a superb sticky toffee pudding; our server noted that the pudding was offered for the first time that night, and it definitely deserves to be featured regularly. The entire staff, but especially our capable and attentive server (Alison), went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and content. It's a great pleasure to be able to patronize a restaurant of this caliber here, and we look forward to visiting regularly.

Farm raised Catfish meal: Carfish, slaw, pickle, onion, slaw, hush puppies, bag of French fries. The best Catfish in Paragould. A large meal, that will fill you up! Dining area or drive-thru. Catfish only served on weekends. Love that Catfish! !

I've never had a bad experience at Skinny Js. Food is so good. Many of the employees are very cool. I go often.
