When I was car-pooling with my school friend, he would treat me to Ike's. The donuts are good to nearly great depending on your donut exposure. The place is crowded at around 7 & the parking lot is small, but you could probably park anywhere close. This is Ark City at it's best when you want a paid sugar delivery system. There is quite a variety, although I'd bet no vegan donuts, or glucose-free donuts. That's why they're donuts! The service is rapid, the clientele is 90% local. Now that Mr. X doesn't ride with me, I skip this part of the day.

We ate there for the very first time and it was pretty good bbq. I had the pulled pork and chopped brisket. They were both tasty with the brisket being my favorite. The sauces were all very solid too. The sides were cole slaw and the beans. The cole slaw was very good and the beans were just ok in my opinion. My wife had a salad and really liked that. Overall, I thought it was very good bbq and would eat there again..

Recommended by our Motel Manager at the EconoLodge. Impressed with the quality of the food. Chicken was moist, not dry like some places. Food options and prices normal as compared to other Mexican Restaurants. Dining area and bathrooms were clean.

A unique coffee house and bakery that offers so much more than the normal. You will encounter an "eager to please" staff who are proud to be a part of such a clean and hip place. The quality of our gourmet coffee drinks is unsurpassed. We 100% guarantee our product or you can get another. We have a large array of food and baked goods here as well. We serve large portions and are famous for our chicken salad croissants, paninis, large variety of salads, wraps and classic sandwiches. Other fan favorites include the fresh Calzones, German beirocks, cookies, muffins and large homemade cinnamon rolls. We have extra special salads and yummy loaded baked potatoes. Everyday after 4:00 kids under 12 eat for $.99 with adult order. If you're in the Ark City area give us a try! We are among the customer rated places to eat in the area.

Market on one side. Ice cream and hamburger joint in the other.
We didn't check out the market. But the food was satisfying. I was afraid it would be a small patty warmed in a microwave. Can't say it was placed in the nuker, but it was a good size after a 5 hr flight and 1.5 hr drive. No ice cream for us on that wintery visit. Wish this chain were out our ways.

Some of Daisey Mae's food is good and some is below average. Service is always good and friendly. The decor needs a lot of sprucing up and cleaning up to give it a happier look. After all, daisies are happy flowers.

When visiting Ark City, a relative told us we had to eat here for good Mexican food, so we gave it a try. From the reviews on here it would appear that it would be a good choice. My brother, nephew and I each had a different plate of food and we were all disappointed. The entrees were very bland with very little flavor, the chips were stale and the salsa was as bland as the entrees. We each thought Taco Bell would have been a better choice for Americanized Mexican food. If you are looking for real Mexican food you will have to look elsewhere. By the way, the place was pretty full but not one Mexican was eating there. That should be a warning sign.

My California Burrito was amazing! However, our sons ordered beef soft tacos & after they wouldn't eat them I tasted one. The meat was very, very salty. Yuck! The service was good, too.

What a find for great tasting, rib sticking, aromatic food. This is a small, squeaky clean family business. Only one problem, you cannot possibly try everything in one visit. But then that's a good reason to go back. We ordered two dinners, pulled pork and pork ribs. To fill the two sided each, we chose skillet corn, collard greens, mac and cheese and cornbread dressing. Yes they do serve lighter green veggies but that will be next trip. For dessert we had HOMEMADE peach cobbler and HOMEMADE pound cake. I understand the best seller is meatloaf and also the cooked to order pan fried chicken looked and smelled amazing. As said before, next trip.

We enjoy the Arbys in Arkansas City. The service is great. They greet you as you enter the door. We have eaten at several Arby's but prefer the one in Arkansas City. Their food is consistently good. They have a great location and you can see out the windows. Tables can be pulled together when you meet to eat with friends.
