If you go to a restaurant for good food, Alfonso's will fill your needs. If you go for atmosphere, try somewhere else. My wife's chicken chimichanga was filled with tasty, moist shredded chicken, and my carnitas were also very tasty. The rice and beans were unremarkable, but some salsa from the salsa bar perked them right up. Service was friendly.

Authentic locally owned Mexican restaurant just across the road from our hotel.Waitress was very nice and food was prepared fresh. Food was a little too spicy for me. The salsa was very hot so I ordered some pico de gallo thinking it might not be as hot. Wrong and filled with jalapenos. Overall our meals were good and the rice pudding cooled our palates.

Service was speedy but the restaurant was not busy. We had tacos and guacamole on the side with lettuce and tomato. The tacos were tasty, the tomatoes were too. The guacamole was just smashed avocado with no seasoning at all and the lettuce was sad. With three sides of guacamole we only got one basket of corn chips that wasnât even full. The coffee was good and the coke was cold.

Yup, you guessed it. When you are done âStanding On The Cornerâ in Winslow, Arizona head on over to the Brown Mug. Located across from La Posada Hotel this âcafeâ & dining room is a welcome surprise. The tacos, enchiladas are flavorful and priced nicely. When we walked in it was filled with locals on a Friday night. The dining room was closed but Samuel was quick to give a great suggestion on what was a great combination. Not fancy, not a chain restaurant just good local food.

Casual dining in Historic downtown Winslow on Route 66 just steps from that famous Standin' on the corner, corner. All our food is made to order, when you order it. All from fresh ingredients. Our burgers, steaks and chicken breasts are all flame broiled.
Sports Bar, one block from âstanding on the cornerâ with craft beers and Mexican food? Served by the cook/ownerâs 84 year old gregarious, spry mom..Mexican steak served on Navajo taco was perfect, meat soft and no gristle, nacho salsa was very spicy, chimichanga was perfect, not greasy with spicy red sauce,,others with spicy green chili burgers...plenty of TVs ...a good respite in a town with limited non chain choices

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. Tucked away in the furthest corner of the Winslow airport, E&O Kitchen is serving some fresh, quality Mexican dishesWhen you are seated, they get your drink order and bring a basket of tortilla chips. A complimentary Salsa Bar has six different salsas and other toppings for your chips. My chicken chimichanga arrived quickly and was hot and fresh. Topped sour cream, guacamole, shredded cheese and red or green chile sauce. I chose "Christmas", half red and half green.Come hungry and leave happy. The food is truly first class, and the staff will treat you like family.
