We love sushi and yet are not snobbish. We were so pleased. Warmly greeted and ordered and the appetizers arrived promptly. We avoided our usual likes: seaweed and squid salad. We opted for monkey brains, soft-shelled crab, golden avocado, and cannon balls. GREAT. The spicy tuna was actually SPICY. We were so pleased. The portions so large that we brought some pieces home. We did have theater reservations and service so prompt that our schedule was easily accomplished. I really do need to mention the warmth of the staff.

Sala Thai is a hidden gem - there are not many Thai restaurants around this area - but this one is worth finding and visiting. The menu is extensive with all the usual selections for Thai food. We have visited several times and our favorites are chicken & veggies with yellow curry - the curry is outstanding; mixed veggies, chicken with cashews - and, we have had the coconut prawns. All the food is excellent. The flavors are distinct, fresh and clear. The sauces are light and flavorful - not thick and sticky like some places. The veggies are all cooked just right and are varied. We have found the service to be first class - very attentive, but not over bearing- and any need we have is met. We will definitely go back to Sala Thai. The restaurant is clean and the ambiance quite cozy for a small space.

Ok, I have lived in Arizona for almost 4 years and have been searching for a great chinese restaurant. Well, here it is. I always order the shrimp in lobster sauce and my friend orders orange chicken. BOTH WERE DELICIOUS. The service is excellent and has a really nice atmosphere. These were both on the lunch special. My new favorite chinese restaurant.

Although we visit frequently I have not reviewed since 2015. My wife had taught a class and wanted to treat her. We visited on a Saturday late afternoon and Happy Hour savings were still in effect. Everything was fresh, artfully prepared and served when we wanted. Our server, Nicole, was very warm and personable and added to our having a very enjoyable early dinner.

We sat at the bar and ordered some rolls spicy tuna roll was excellent another shrimp tempura roll soft shell crab roll unagi sushi And yellow tail toro sashimi were also very tasty . All this accompanied with some good Kagatobi sake. I enjoyed all dishes. After being to Japan 4 times this rolls were a bit âAmericanizedâ but they were good. The whole dinner ended up 96$ and was worth it. So if youâre in Phoenix and want a good sushi bar go there itâs is good and worth your money.

Establishment clean, orderly, and helpful staff. Enjoyed lettuce wraps, beef and broccoli, a couple of sushi rolls, and their latest item, guacamole rolls. That's right, guacamole rolls. Guacamole, mixed with water chestnuts, some other veggies, rolled and fried to perfection. Served with a sippy sauce that's just right. Give it a try, it's delicious and filling. Good stop doe the next trip, hopefully the guac rolls will remain on the menu.
