I wanted a pork tamale but they donât have that. Rice had no flavor whatsoever, so much sauce on everything. Not what Iâm used to-maybe this is Tex-Mex? Mexican food in California is different so ask questions about what youâre ordering to alleviate any surprises.

There are quite a few good Mexican restaurants around Sierra Vista but, we found out today this is one of the better ones. They were busy when we arrived and the only table they was outside on the patio. It was a cool day but, we decided to try it. Our server, Patricia, brought out homemade chips and homemade salsa, which was very good and took our drink order. She came back shortly to get our order. It was a few minutes past the 2:00 pm time for the lunch but, she told us to go ahead and order from the lunch menu. So, I got the Wet Burrito w/rice and beans and my wife got the Chicken Enchiladas w/rice and beans. She returned shortly with our orders and noticed we were feeling a little chilled. She set our food down and said she would be right back. She returned in two minutes and said, "I've got a booth for you inside." She showed us where and told us to go sit down and she would bring our food. It was a big difference in temperature. My Burrito was huge and stuffed with shredded delicious chicken and smothered in sauce. It was great how it stayed hot for quite a while. The beans and rice were fresh and tasty and there was sour cream and guacamole served on the side with no extra charge. My wife really enjoyed her Enchiladas as well. They were also stuffed full with shredded chicken. The sauce and cheese that covered them helped create a very tasty dish. We really enjoyed our meals and the service was exceptional. We will return here very soon.

I am not a big fan of Mexican food. Anyway, this unpretentious place is fantastically priced. I eat there twice and each time the quality and price were second to none. I like that there is a buffet bar for guacamole, pickled onions, and a bunch of spicy stuff for people to use as they want. Spicy food will make me sick. At this place, the food is served without spicy stuff. You have half a dozen sauces on your table and the buffet to tailor the food to your taste. This is the first ever Mexican restaurant in the world were I can eat without getting sick. Highly recommended.

Apparently this was the best Mexican restaurant in town. Ordered chili rellenos and this was okay, a little pricey for what you got. The service was good. In a pinch I would return again.
It appears the place doesn't exist at this location, which I pass often because it's near my hotel. And I haven't been able to find it anywhere else around Sierra Vista either. Too bad, I'm often hunting down new taco sources--but I heard this restaurant closed a while ago. While I was asking around, someone local told me that yes, it had closed permanently, but that it hadn't been so great anyway.
