The place name "Tubac" is an English borrowing from a Hispanicized form of the O'odham name, which translates into English as "rotten". The original O'odham name is written Cuwak. The first syllable is accented. When first taken into Spanish speech, it was spelled Tubaca. Finally over time the last "a" was dropped. Tubac is situated on the Santa Cruz River.

We stay at the golf resort and spa and this restaurant is on the property so it is so convenient. The food is consistently good and presented very nicely. This time some items on the menu were no longer available so we were disappointed in that aspect. But overall we enjoyed everything. The steak was perfect and the salad great. A nice spot for dinner.Thank you for taking the time to post your experience. We are happy that you enjoyed dinner. Next time you are in, please ask for a manager and let them know your favorites that we have removed from the menu and they can let our Chef know what is greatly missed. We look forward to your next trip to Tubac.

We decided to take a break from seeing the sights in the village and stop for some refreshment. Well we found it at this spot. The root beer float is outstanding and the ice cream with brownies insane. The waitstaff is very accommodating and very helpful. The atmosphere was as you might expect. Delicious food and drink. Definitely worth a visit on a hot day.

Loved browsing this store but recognize that tools that perform only one function likely donât belong in your kitchen. I did buy something, however, so not everything falls into the impractical category. Beautiful displays and very helpful staff.Oops~ sounds like youâre at the wrong spot :) Weâre a Cafe in Tubac - The Goods~Kitchen & Cocktails serving, Food, Drink & Music. Tumacookery is a kitchen supply shop... thinking thatâs the place this review was meant for.

We took a trip to the Tubac area to golf and spend a few days. I called two weeks in advance to various restaurants to make dinner reservations during our stay, . Based on write ups and recommendations we planned dinner At Tubac Jack's one night. I gave them my cell number as they asked when I made the reservations. On Tuesday night when we showed up for dinner the whole place was CLOSED. There was no note in the window or any explanation. They did not even have the courtesy to give me a call. Never again.
