We were taken here for the lunch just arrived in Chivay, as part of our transfer from Arequipa to the Colca Canyon. This is a decent self service cafeteria. You can eat as much as you want, for the flat rate of 30 soles per person, plus 10 soles for a drink. We picked up and brought to our seats: chicken broth, fried alpaca meat, mixed vegetables, guacamole, and a fruit jelly dessert. The food was good and healthy, but impersonal, typical of a cafeteria. We therefore recommend this property especially to those who have little time.
The "cafeteria" formula in Chivay restaurants is probably widespread: both lunches we have had in town adopted this formula. The restaurant itself doesn't look bad: there is a wide choice, the prices are moderate, there is the chance to eat at your will. But the advice is to be careful about the food you choice. Despite having eaten moderately, during the afternoon after lunch I suffered severe belly problems. I guess the trout ceviche, or the guacamole, may have been responsible

I went to that restaurant which looked ok. Is a buffete so I could have tried different things. Some of the options included alpaca meat, quinua and some slices of pizza.Well, the juice I ordered, because drinks are not included, wasn't really good, then I saw a client claiming beacuse of something he found in the food.In the restaurant says Free Wi-Fi, when I wanted to connect they told me that I had to go to one of the corners to have conecction.

Good food
We really enjoyed lunch here away from the tourist crowds having buffets at some of the other restaurants. Freshly cooked with laughter. Had chicken, steak and trout and all was perfectly cooked and tasty. Just what we needed after the drive from Arequipa.

Buffet restaurant with Peruvian and local food. We are located on the corner of the Main Square, our products are local and we offer a vegetarian opcion every day.
Popular with guides to feed their groups at lunchtime, evidently. Beautifully laid out buffet in clay pots, using herbs and dried foods for decoration. Great range of foods for all tastes including vegetarian. Fantastic quinoa soup. Bread, Causa, salads and fruits, assorted meats including chicken wings.

Our tour bus stopped here for lunch. The buffet was 30 soles and selection was quite decent - wide variety of soups, salads, vegetables, chicken, alpaca, fish desserts. I particularly liked the quinoa soup, the hearty lentil soup (with potatoes and lamb meat) , and the trout. The desserts were also quite good. Tried a typical Peruvian Catcus friut and it was delicious. They accept Mastercard which was an additional plus for us.
