Reviews on Brew Pub food in Arequipa, Arequipa Region, Peru. In Peru's second-most populous city, aka "The White City," stunning colonial buildings made of pearly sillar stone vie for attention with the surrounding volcanoes and snow-capped peaks of the western Andes. Founded in 1540, it's a smorgasbord of mansions and museums. The top attraction, 215,000-square-foot Santa Catalina Monastery, is like its own city within a city, complete with fountains and cobblestone streets. Arequipa is the favorite base for visiting Colca Canyon and its massive condors.

Great Peruvian craft beers, Peruvian inspired "comfort" food, and very friendly service to our guests are our goals at Chelawasi. Pair that with good music, international sports, and great culture and you may miss your transportation back to where you cam
This is an outstanding place to enjoy craft beer in Arequipa. It is run by an Oregonian, and he clearly knows his beer. Although I normally would prefer to sample the comida tipica while vacationing outside the US, I opted to get the Chelawasi burger so I could sample a couple of beers and still walk back to my hotel. Good decision. Both the burger and the fries were exceptional. Also, the staff and the owner were very friendly and hospitable.

Nice place to meet people and have a beer.
We stumbled on this restaurant on our first night in Arequipa. Really nice minimalist decor and very clean, open kitchen. The waitress was very friendly and took the time to suggest some gluten free options for us. The yuca and cheese appetizer was so yummy. I had a quinoa salad with added chicken that was refreshing and delicious. We also had a bun-less hamburger, steak and fried chicken. All very good, (all gf) quick and very reasonably priced. The fresh juices were delicious (best in the month of travel) and quite large. Would return.

the best ceviche in Arequipa, you can get it here in El Perla Central, we are located in the heart of the city just two blocks from the main square. our specialty is sea food, made with fresh ingredients and high quality. We have a wide variety of dishes
I went here to have my first ceviche in Peru accompanied by a pisco sour.I must say it was absolutely tasty. The ceviche with the fish of the day had great flavours and you can choose how picante (spicy) you want it. The sauce was a dream.
