Find out what Asian restaurants to try in Arequipa. In Peru's second-most populous city, aka "The White City," stunning colonial buildings made of pearly sillar stone vie for attention with the surrounding volcanoes and snow-capped peaks of the western Andes. Founded in 1540, it's a smorgasbord of mansions and museums. The top attraction, 215,000-square-foot Santa Catalina Monastery, is like its own city within a city, complete with fountains and cobblestone streets. Arequipa is the favorite base for visiting Colca Canyon and its massive condors.

The only indian restaurant in the city of arequipa, peru, authentic indian food prepared by chef Roy from india. Located on calle bolivar 502, cercado. One block from monasterio santa catalina.
We went in the afternoon just as they opened and were warmly welcomed.I tried to order a chicken tikka massalla, it is on the menu twice, once under a section which says only available after 6pm and the other section gives no such times, I was told I couldn't have it as it was too early.Ordered the butter chicken instead with biryani rice. The rice was good and the sauce was nice but the chicken was not good. It was very tough to cut and eat.My wife had the biryani which was lovely.

Thai cuisine with a Peruvian touch -- Cocina tailandesa y peruana en Arequipa. Sabores de dos continentes en una sola experiencia.
If you are looking for good Thai food, don't go here. There's nothing Thai about this place. We had a red Thai curry and a massaman curry, and neither had any Thai spices whatsoever. The food was fine, but they can't market it as Thai food. Hi Bekahb,Sorry for the confusion. We market ourselves as Fusion restaurant with Thai & Peruvian cuisine influence. Like you said it is hard to import the authentic spicies but we do our best to offer unique dishes as well as the traditional food with a Peruvian spin. Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip.

We came for dinner and were all very surprised at how delicious the sushi was here. It is reasonably priced and very filling. The Magma roll was really good. However our favourite part of the meal was the frozen maracuya juice. It was AMAZING. We are yet to find anything like it in our travels throughout Peru.
