Reviewed By Petra ANice and cheap, big familyroom with a fantastic view over the lake. We enjoyed the pools and had a lot of fun. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast nice with something for everyone of us,even our fuzzy teens. We will be back

Can't beat the location
Reviewed By richamagGreat location - can't get any closer to the lifts if you tried. Nice Scandinavian rustic decor, great lounge with an open fire. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food on offer and live music every afternoon from 4.30 to 5.30 pm giving you an opportunity to try and join the locals in dancing in your ski-boots. Getting into town is very easy thanks to the funicular just outside the hotel. Rooms slightly on the small side but clean and well equipped. We stayed in a loft suite - be aware that you might end up with your bed on the "loft" level as we did, (double bed upstairs and a single for our son downstairs) accessible only by a very steep ladder - so not for those who need access to bathroom facilities at night or do not have a head for heights or simply do not like climbing ladders after a day's ski-ing or apres ski. The only downside was the theft of my husband's ski poles from a lockable ski room accessible only to hotel guests but that really was outside of teh hotel's control.

The Granen Hotel's doors has been open for mountain-loving guests since 1916, and the welcoming atmosphere is just as genuine now as it was back then. The wine list is huge and here are wines for all budgets and levels. Great focus on Italy! Nice atmosphere and staff. Reviewed By ThaulowPIf you are like me and are trying to get the best out of the corona situation. one that believe in supporting the restaurants and hotels and still have hope in humanity, then don't book here. these guys don't show any compassion at all. even though we would like to here, the circumstances does not allow it because sweden has its own borders closed. instead of the property helping a customer in need, these guys will milk you if there is an inconvenience. I'm not entitled to get my money back but abusing the corona situation to get money is low. i would say that in my life, this is the worst service ever encountered. thanks for making 2020 an even worse year

Reviewed By 288nissebDetta är ett litet B&B av hög klass. Fräscht och trevligt rum. Centralt beläget nära Åre torg. Restaurang våningen under rummen med spännande smårätter och rejäla hamburgare. Fantastiskt utbud av öl, både egentillverkade och externa. Trevlig och kunnig personal gör det hela mycket bra.

The site is stunning, perched on the tree line, high on the mountain and commanding magnificent views. The mountain resort hotel has 112 suites and hotel rooms, conference capacity for 600 people, restaurants, bars, spa, and its own ski lift with access to Are's large piste system.
Lovely hotel
Reviewed By francophone1000Very enjoyable stay. We really enjoyed the hotel and the staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was very good and the suite was very nice as well. The location for skiers are excellent ski in and out. Also good that ski hire and lift passes are available at the hotel. However we had a few issues, like ice the outside hotel, I do understand it is hard to clear the snow but it was like an ice rink walking to the car. Gravel was added but the snow could have cleared better when it snowed and when it got warm and the cold there would not but such a big problem, as when we stayed. Our ski locker was broken so we had to change locker a couple of times. One day we turned up our skis were not there, they were in the reception. It is not a problem itself if we had been informed before we panicked. However overall we had fabulous stay, and would stay again if we visit Åre.

Cosy small geust house in Duved, 10min from Are slopes and Ulladalen cross country skiing tracks.2-6 Person rooms with wash basin in the room, toilets and showers in the corridor. Sounds less temtping but we assure you it functions very good.Lobby bar and living room both with big fire places. In the basement we have warm and moist saunas and an old celler billiards & table tennis.The building is from 1850 and was rebuilt to a guets house in 1918. In our rates breakfast, dinner, sheets, towels, sauna and pick up service are included. Also included is shuttle service to Duved slopes and cross country skiing tracks.We offer a laid back and warm harted stay for you and your family, friends or company.Eva & Petter

Situated 500 metres from Åre Ski Resort's Björnen ski lift, this property is 3 km from central Åre. Sauna access and a ski bus transfer are both free. The lobby provides free Wi-Fi, coffee and tea.The nice furnished guest rooms at Hotell Karolinen Åre include a flat-screen TV and seating area with sofa. The most coazy and familiar hotel in Åre
Reviewed By Ola MI have been to Hotell Karolinen many times over the years. The hotel is 100% charming with a very familiar and personal approach by its owner Peder. The hotel has a nice restaurant and large sauna offering great relaxation with friends and family. I highly recommend this hotel.
