While on a week long road trip thru Mexico's Independence country we wandered into the town of Arandas , we dined in the wonderful 100 year old family owned and operated CARNITAS LA MEZCA , they prepare everything on the menu in house from livestock they raise , excellent super lean pork , the best chips and beans we have ever had , we were so impressed with everything we ordered from the menu , every mouthful was an experience . Also this being in the heart of Tequila country , we purchased a couple bottles of some up and coming Anejo of local brands , so so smooth . Wow ! , this stop was nearing the end of our most impressive road trip and became our strongest memory , just so impressed with everything and the pride each of the family take in their business ... as they justly should .

Everything about this restaurant was top notch. Food was fantastic with ample portion size. Waitstaff was very attentive without being overly so. The atmosphere inside was just perfect. Even though this is on the main highway it is a little out of the way for tourists, but it is definitely a place to enjoy.

everything I tried was AMAZING!! The soup of the day was the winner.. (Green in color and outta this world!!)
Staff /servers were friendly and service was quick with a smile..
Will be back for sure!!

El lugar es bonito y especialista en cenas de pareja (Siempre con una previa reservación). No he tenido suerte la veces que he ido, no me han quedado ganas de regresar. Mal servicio y pésimo surtido de la carta.

Visitamos este restaurante con la expectativa de saber si era verdad lo que recomendaban; y efectivamente muy deliciosa la comida, la vista de los platillos muy agradable, el sabor excelente y las porciones adecuadas al precio.. Todo dentro de lo normal y resaltar la actitud de servicio de las meseras siempre al pendiente sin llegar a ser molestas; la rapidez con la que sirvieron tambien muy bien y en general todo perfecto... recomendadisima la piña rellena de mariscos. Deliciosa¡¡

Tenía bajas espectativas entrando en el lugar, pero la atención fue amable y excelente. Llegando la comida todo se veia excelente, los alimentos son naturales con sabor gourmet. El servicio es excelente. Espero volver pronto.

Es el restaurante del hotel del mismo nombre y me encanta que tengan servicio desde el desayuno hasta la cena, es muy cómodo no tener que salir del hotel después de un día pesado de trabajo. Me gusta mucho porque el servicio es bueno y te atienden como en casa, son muy flexibles para la hora de la preparación de los alimentos y sobre todo muy consentidores, te hacen sentir en confianza. Todo lo hacen delicioso desde los huevos del desayuno, hasta las enfrijoladas de la cena.
