A 15 min walk to the beach (Beach Park), where there is well develop amenities to support a full day in the sun. I spent 3 weeks at Santuario das Águias; was working during the work days, and it certainly felt truly relaxed when back at the hotel. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my schedule and dietary preferences (loved the healthy options at breakfast; will miss the suco verde every morning). Have to clear, this not a 5 star hotel, but nevertheless, it is a very comfortable, clean and charming property. For the early risers, you will love to be by the infinity pool watching the sun rising from ocean!

Reviewed By Janaina MThe hotel is huge but cozy! The decor is simple and beautiful. The apartment we stayed was large enough for the four of us. From the varanda we could see the ocean and the swimming pool. The personel are so nice and helpful, all the time.... There is always someone around to meet your needs. For the kids, there was a schedule with activities. My 9 years old son enjoyed very much. I highly recommend it! (Originally written in English)

Reviewed By DayTrip54162550879Drive about 45 minutes down the coast from the city of Fortaleza and you will find this hidden gem on arguably one of Brazil’s best beaches. The location of this hotel is magnificent, perched on a hill overlooking a beautiful secluded beach, in the charming beach town of Barro Preto lies the Carmel Charme Resort. As soon as we walked through the door to enter the resort, we were promptly met by friendly staff who escorted us to the terrace overlooking the pool and beach and we were immediately offered refreshing agua de coco along with chilled tropical fruit shooters. Check in formalities were performed and we made our way to our room. All rooms here overlook the pool and ocean and the view from our room did not disappoint. Our room was well appointed with a stocked mini bar, large King sized bed, a loveseat sofa bed, and small table and chairs. The room amenities included 2 complimentary pairs of Havaianas with the Carmel logo which was a very nice touch. The room is also equipped with a remote controlled split air conditioner and a flat screen HD TV with multiple international channels. It is extremely rare to stay in a hotel and not have anything go wrong and unfortunately this was also the case here. I’m going to start with the good. The location of this resort exceeded our expectations in every way. Photos on the internet do not do this place justice. It is stunningly beautiful here. Having breakfast at their beachside dining room was a highlight each morning. It was such a great way to start out each day. The grounds are well maintained and the views of the ocean are unforgettable. I would also like to commend the staff here. Everyone that we encountered were so helpful and friendly. One day during my stay, I went for a bike ride around the village and eventually made my way to the nearby town of Iguape where I then returned to the hotel along the sand on the beach as it was low tide. It was a very warm day and by the time I reached the hotel I was exhausted! I collapsed onto one of the lounge chairs and I was promptly met by a friendly staff member who brought me an ice cold agua de coco without me even needing to ask for it. It is little touches like these that make good hotels great and keeps people like me returning. This kind gesture was very much appreciated! The pool grounds are beautiful and immaculate and swimming up to the poolside bar for a refreshing cold cerveja was wonderful. The secluded beach at this hotel would rival any of the world’s best beaches, and I was born and raised in Hawaii and this beach compared well with our best. Warm beautiful blue water with gentle breezes each day was heaven on earth. With friendly staff and blessed with a beautiful location, you would think that everything would be perfect. I really really wanted to give this resort a 5 star rating but there were a few things that lowered their score, and one of them was quite significant. Unfortunately they were doing room renovations and for some reason, they chose to assign us a room directly below the room being renovated. I could understand if the hotel was completely booked and some emergency room repair needed to be performed but this was clearly not the case as you could see ladders and equipment on the balcony of the room being renovated so the front desk staff had to be aware that this was taking place. Assigning us a room directly beneath the room under construction and subjecting us to pounding, sawing, and drilling each day of our stay is inexcusable. We chose to fly to Fortaleza and stay at this resort because we had heard how relaxing it was here and that is what we wanted to do, relax. Relaxing in the room during the daytime was not possible. The room we were assigned to should have been blocked from their inventory and if they were facing a sold out situation and yet knew that renovations were planned, they should not have accepted our reservation. This is not a cheap place to stay. The daily room prices here are very high by Brazilian standards and one should not have to put up with construction noise while trying to relax on a beach holiday so this was very disappointing for us. There were also a few minor room inconveniences that should have been rectified before we were assigned to our room. Our toilet seat was broken and the lid would not stay upright. If the room had been cleaned and inspected by properly trained housekeeping staff, this would have been taken care of. Also, the drain in our shower did not drain the water properly and each time we showered, we would be up to our ankles in water. Again, this should have been noticed and rectified by trained staff between guests. I should also mention that I only encountered one employee at the hotel that spoke English during our entire stay which was not a problem for me as I understand and can speak Portuguese but it could be challenging for guests with no Portuguese proficiency and this in no way contributed to a lower star rating on my part. This hotel has absolute 5 star quality and potential but better training of housekeeping staff and better decision making by staff tasked with room assignments will help them get there. I would love to return one day and I am hoping my next visit there will be more relaxing.

Lovely hotel; lovely staff
Reviewed By nicolahWe had the best week at Oceanis Park Hotel!!! It was our first time in Greece and we absolutely loved it. Its in the perfect location - a 5 min walk from the beach, a 10 min drive from the airport, and with so many lovely bars and restaurants on its doorstep. The old and new towns of Ixia are closeby, as well as the stunning surrounding towns of Faliraki and Lindos. We want to say a special thank you to Maria for being so kind and friendly in helping us to organise our day trips, as well as Tsampikos - the best barman in the hotel!!! We can’t wait to come back, thank you so much. Nicola and Josh x

For those who will travel with many people, but does not open hand of comfort and individuality, the Wellness Resort is the best option. Opened in 2013, the Wellness unites the concepts of Resort and SPA so smooth and efficient. While the family has fun in the swimming pool, you can take advantage of to take advantage of the hot tub. It is fun and comfort for everyone!
Expensive and medium infrastructure
Reviewed By jeffmike687Stayed for 5 days at this hotel. Room is medium, the pillow and beds could be better. The TV shows in the room is mirrored, resulting in a very poor resolution. The service is good, but the food and beverages price is the same at beach park, which is very expensive. The game room is near to non-existence, with only an old pool in a very small place. Didn't use the gym, but it appears to be good tho. Our package include both breakfast and dinner (excl beverages which is very expensive). Breakfast were very good, and dinner very poor quality. My recomendation is to stay at some top hotels at fortaleza and dedicate only one day to go to beach park.

The Laguna Blu Hotel it´s located at Prainha Beach, Aquiraz, distant 28 km from Fortaleza and at a short distance from the Beach Park (9 km) and the Golf Course Aquiraz Riviera (12 km). The access to the capital Fortaleza it´s very easy by modern roads. The hotel it´s in front of the lagoon with stunning sea views. Our offer includes free wi fi in all the hotel, 24 h reception, outdoor swimming pool for adults and children, restaurant and bar. Free outside parking (limited capacity). Large rooms with air conditioning, most of them with sea front balconies, double and single beds, safe deposit box and TV. Bathrooms with hot shower and bath amenities.
Nice from outside, some troubles within
Reviewed By Jan WMe and my wife've chosen this resort alike hotel in Aquiraz/Prainha from an internet search, whose focus was location and price. Among all choices, Laguna Blue appeared as the best one. Fair room rate and suitable location. We reached the Hotel after a short trip from Fortaleza Airport, where we rented a car. It's a 30' trip, lacking directions signs along the roads. BR 116 and CE 040 were the roads wh traveled on. Despite of that, it was a relatively easy trip, once we used a GPS on my blackberry. At first sight, the Hotel is goodlooking, charming. Simple, but has a mediterranean architecture and careful design. It is Italian owned. The check in was flawless and fast. And we had help to take our heavy luggage to the upper floor room. Short after we entered the confortable and large room, the smelt of sewage coming from the bathroom broke our brief first good impression of it. We'd to open the windows to make it vanish. Hopefully Ceará is a all-day-long windy place. However, everytime we close the room to go to the beach, the nasty smelt returned. The air conditioning also had to repaired: at start, it didn't cool the place. The maintenance guy had to see into it. Good news was that has there that day and the problem was solved. Little trouble with hot water, but it was also fixed. The bed had a king-size mattress, good pillows. There was no need of blankets, only sheets sheltered us from any kind of chill - only my wife can feel chill of a temperature of 26ºC.... but it was enough for her too. There is no hair dryer in the toilet. only on request. The TV set is ridiculous: 14" old tube television, whose remote control is a small keyboard ond the headboard. Was hard to operate it. We stayed in "suite junior", with a porch and gorgeous view. Dawn was at our sight, over the delta of a small river, and the white sand contrasting the green shaded sea. We had 4 fully sun shined day there. No surprises at that region. Other downside is the services on site. You have to be patient and forget about the rush. They have their own pace, wich is definetively not like ours. Heart attacks should be rare on this place - at least not among the staff of this hotel. They are attentious and simpathetic, tough. The food is fair and the price not too expensive. The beach is vast with white sand, however, due to the no stop wind that comes relentlessly form the ocean, the sea doesn't invite us for a dive, its full of small waves. Paradise for kite surfers. Breakfast is not remarkable, could be better served with more options. Appeared to be like budget business hotels. Swimming pool has good location and size, but not well cleaned. As overall assesment is a good place, away from city buzz, not too far from the beach (400m) and a cost effective place to stay.
