Visit recently on Valentine's Day had a great experience with exceptional service and food. Steak chicken and seafood my party order was amazing. Specialty drinks and desserts just for the occasion. Made our Valentine's Day very special. Great environment. Eddie is amazing owner/manager and makes a personal visit to every table to ensure satisfaction. Best customer service I have ever received.
Hands down best of Orlando mid priced Steak House!

Excellent food and dessert menu. Service is slow, but food is cooked fresh and made to order. So, if you have time, this is a great place to get a good meal. Don't be in a rush and you will enjoy the visit. If you are looking for fast service, this is not the place for you. Good family atmosphere and has outside seating.

They have done it again by make great wings for our family party. The Troubled Gold smoked chicken wings ARE the best in the area period. Fifty of these bad boys primed the appetites of my guests on Thanksgiving Day. The summer slaw was a big hit as well. This place is the best wing joint in greater Orlando.

Quesadillas, red plate kid's burrito, Nachos Supreme & Enchiladas.
PROS: Excellent customer service received with unlimited chips & salsa, No pushy at all, fully bilingual. Assisted with custome orders. Fast service and hot food.
Cons: If you are not familiar with Mexican food, you may get lost on the menu.
Kudos to this Restaurant, definitely will return soon.

Ordered take out. It was dinner time and the restaurant wasn't busy...only one table was occupied. Our fried shrimp was not good. It was tough and tasteless. The "sides" are very small-at least in take-out. The cheese grits were good as was the cole slaw.
This was my first time at this restaurant and I will not be returning. The staff was friendly, but I feel the cost of my meal did not reflect the quality I would expect. Perhaps our meals were not their standard but for me it is a one and done.

Late breakfast arrival. Place was packed. Breakfast was average with no frills. Waitress was attentive and knew there was a problem with one plate and offered to fix it. Adjusted bill accordingly which was nice. Atmosphere was okay but a bit warm with a full house. Average food but good service.

We have eaten at the lunch buffet twice now, once on the weekend (a Saturday) and once during the week (a Monday).
On both occasions, the food was great, the restaurant was clean, and the service was satisfactory. We would highly recommend this place.
Food: You know the "typical" "Mexican" restaurant in the US for people who have no desire to taste real food -- Plato #1: 1 enchilada, 2 burritos; Plato #2: 2 enchiladas, 1 burrito; blah, blah, blah. Well, the lunch buffet at this El Potro is NOT THAT BLAND AMERICAN "SAFE" MEXICAN FOOD. No, this is real food.
The buffet has multiple parts: hot dishes made with tortillas, tamales, enchiladas, etc., and then there is a section with cooked pork (THE BEST!!!), braised beef (a little hint of spice), chicken (mostly white meat with tomatoes and onions), plus, plus, plus many other dishes. Then there is a salad section with lettuce/tomatoes, fresh guacamole, potato salad (yes, there are potatoes in Mexico), and other salad items. Then there is a small dessert section with some fresh fruit and some flan and a rice pudding.
My favorite: Put lettuce and the big tomatoes on your plate, cover with pico de gallo (made fresh there! this is chopped tomatoes, onions, chilis) and put some of the ground beef on it from the hot bar. On your second plate, help yourself to the hot items. My favorites today were the pork (SO GOOD!) and the chicken (huge pieces of white meat, very healthy and delicious).
I can't recall the whole price, but two of us had 2 buffets plus 2 iced teas for about $21. (Tea is $2, so the 2 buffets must be about $8 -- a TRUE BARGAIN).
In summary: it's DELICIOUS, it's cheap, and it's a clean place. We WILL be back. For sure. No hay duda! :-)

I had lunch here and tried the Ropa Vieja with Maduros. The smell when you walk in makes you want to try everything. My food was delicious! I loved everything because it was cooked to perfection and had amazing flavor. I've been here all week and wish I found this place sooner because I would have eaten here everyday. This place is a great option if your looking for Cuban/Spanish cuisine. I definitely recommend and know you will be delighted.

Every Tijuana Flats meal is MADE TO ORDER with the freshest ingredients that are prepped the same day you enjoy them. We're even up early scratch making our chips, tortillas, queso, guac and salsa. Always have, always will. No microwaves or freezers Vegetarian, lard-free beans No canned foods EVER ZERO trans-fat cooking oil Hormone-free chicken, pork & steak
Our first Taco Tuesday! Great deal! (2 tacos, chips & drink only $6) I enjoyed the chicken on flour tortilla option. Sauce bar fantastic as always. Seating barely kept up with continuous crowd during dinner hour.
Staff cleared tables right away. Drink refills happened. Carry out was busy, but moved orderly. Sign up for email- you may get coupon for free churros.

This has now happened 3 times and I'm giving up.
On all occasions we have been taking business partners out for a quick business lunch. We walk in. There are several ( at least 8) tables available. Only they are not. Completely covered in previous clients food. This is the first impression. It's not that they can't get things cleared. They simply don't have the staff. I can appreciate that happening occasionally but this is a regular event. And the last time we walked out. So no food review. There was a manager occasionally saying hi but give by no help to the staff at all. Isnt that the managers job? To help with the smooth running of the place, and that means clearing tables. The couple in front of us also walked out. From previous experience I know the food is good but this is not a good welcome. Actually it's a non welcome I'm done trying.
