Food is always good and fresh. Pastas and pizzas with unique and creative toppings, as well as the classics. Also Italian staples. The environment is pleasant and casual. Service always good. This is not upscale or fancy but just quality food at reasonable prices.

Buttercream Bakeshop was one of my stops on a recent stop in Apex. It is a small shop with a few tables but is very welcoming and cozy when you enter. The cases have many selections so it can be a little overwhelming. Some of the items are creative as I got a Dude bar that is sort of like a brownie with bacon. There were other ingredients too but it didn't last long enough to remember everything. Then there is a Hocus Pocus bar that reminded me a little of a seven layer bar. The coconut macaroons covered in chocolate are so good as well as the cookies. I enjoy my stops here as I leave with lots of goodies and service is very welcoming.

Consistently delicious coffee, nice assortment of pastries, and ice cream for those who don't want something hot! There is an assortment of fun, quirky mugs, too.
Staff is friendly and efficient.
Prices for specialty coffee ranges from $3-$4.50. Not inexpensive, but on par with chain shops that aren't as good!

This pub is one of our favorites due to the consistent quality of the meals and the superior service. The owner seems to be always there overseeing the action and stepping in where needed. The staff is friendly and courteous. Many restaurants and pubs could follow their example.
We ordered fried shrimp and grilled shrimp dinners as well as a bowl of chili to start. The chili is among the best around - thick with meat and a delicious sauce. The shrimp portions are large and both the fried and grilled shrimp are delicious. The grilled shrimp are marinated then blackened so they are a little spicy. The side of cole slaw is small but very good. The only thing average about the meal is the fries. They were freshly cooked but obviously frozen rather than fresh cut. Skylar, our server, was exceptional - friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.

Doherty's is your place to join friends and family for sensational Irish American food & fantastic service at great value. Enjoy a meal with your family, have a quick business lunch, catch the game or listen to live music at your favorite neighborhood pub!
Even without a reservation on a busy weekend night we were seated in just a few minutes. The staff is always great and the food wonderful. I had the Mac and cheese with brisket and it’s too much for one sitting! I did it anyway! I recommend the place for all kinds of Irish meals, wings, sandwiches and salads.

This restaurant is very difficult to find - had to give up until we finally located it by remembering 1232 W. Williams. When coming down Williams heading toward Cary before hitting Route 64, take the right turn into the area where cleaners are located or the clothing resale establishment is located. The small restaurant is located on the right in a series of small establishments. You really can't see from the street. One of our favorites is the Mushroom Toast. Small bread slice with delicious mushrooms and sauce typical of Europe. Don't miss out on their great pastries and cookies and with a Coffee Latte or similar, great conversation can result. It is small but enjoyable and their fresh offerings such as Belgian waffles with fruit are excellent. A little taste of Belgium right in Apex - recommend highly. Not inexpensive but then quality food ingredients require a little extra cash price!

First of all, we love Skippers. We live in Fuquay but anytime that we are in Apex we will stop by to grab some great seafood. The food is great and the employees are always friendly and competent. Tonight however, was above and beyond great service. I mentioned while sitting at the bar area how great stout milkshakes were as I noticed they had a few stout varieties on draft. Next thing I know I was surprised with a stout milkshake to try. Totally unexpected but such a nice gesture that illustrates the attention and care to customers that makes Skippers a great place to eat.

Don't go with the basics, they don't do a good job with basics. But if you can order a specialty taco or burrito, they are very good. The margaritas are great and anything with chorizo is good too. Service depends on the waiter, sometimes it's great, sometimes it's horrible. It appears that there is no average waiter here.
