This nice restaurant sits in the historic neighbourhood of Antwerp at the end of a small alley. In summer a good place to listen to the carillon concerts from the cathedral. It has a beautiful and agreeable interior with a glass surrounded courtyard. Reception and service are attentive and friendly. We had the four dish set menu. It started with a terrine of mackerel with green herbs and tomato, then followed a sole and mussel in an aromatic fennel stock. The main dish was duck with mushrooms and porto. Dinner was concluded with a Gorgonzola "dolce" with beetroot walnut. Cuisine is classic but excellent. The restrooms are downstairs, a bit difficult for people with disabilities but you can ask to use the services at ground level. Good candidate for a nice evening eating out.

A small pub/brasserie with a local ambience. Our waiter (Matthieu- sp?) was a font of knowledge and advice from bringing us samples of different beers to go with our meals to making detailed recommendations about what we would likely enjoy for dinner. My wife started with the garlic shrimp in butter and I had pork belly in a dark beer sauce. We both tasted each otherâs and they were GREAT (not just good but GREAT). The dark bread that accompanied the dishes would have made your grandmother proud. For dinner my wife had the Flemish Beef Stew and I had the chicken in cream sauce. Herâs was merely excellent, but mine was on a par with the best meal Iâve ever had. No hyperbole. Iâm a pretty savvy foodie and this chicken with cream sauce was on a different level. As the Guide Michelin would put it âvaut le voyage. â GO THERE!!!Dear,It was my pleasure to help u and ure wife to make a choice for diner.Thank u for trusting me in this matter. We hope to receive u another time and i wish u and ure a wife a nice experience in Europe and a safe trip home.Kind Regards,Your waiter (Matthias) :)

A monument in every sense of the word. A loyal but varied clientele likes to come here for a coffee, snack, sumptuous dinner or quick lunch. Classic, well prepared home made dishes in a majestic setting and friendly/informal service
This is one of several options in a big, beautiful square, and we found lots to like on the English menu. Two of us had the tortellini, which was excellent, and two of us had the house white, which was very refreshing. Plenty of seating, and the staff managed us and everyone around us very well.

After visiting the cathedral the four of us had lunch at this nearby restaurant. The ground floor was fully booked but we were given a nice table on the first floor overlooking the square and the Cathedral. Service was very friendly and efficient and the food was excellent. We all four ordered the menu, with soup and carpaccio as starter and steak as main dish. The starter was very nice, and the steak was cooked as requested: three of us medium and one of us medium-rare. A very special Argentine sauce gave added flavor to the meat! Good value for money and very hospitable service!
