Find out what Seafood restaurants to try in Nosy Be. “Nosy Be?” Is that a typo for “Noisy Bee?” Nope. It means “big island” and it is just that; a large island off the northwest coast of Madagascar. Here you’ll find volcanic lakes, lazy lemurs, rum distilleries, Ylang Ylang plantations and intricate coral reefs that are practically begging to be explored. Flora and fauna lovers will be in seventh heaven at the beautiful Lokobe Nature Special Reserve. Audiophiles should visit in May, to experience the four-day Donia Music Festival.

We have eaten here twice and both times have been delicious we have eaten pasta and Madagascan, the pasta was tasty and just as I would expect and the zebu was the tenderest I have eaten in 2 months here!! it came with dauphinoise potatoes and grilled veg both were a great accompaniment to the zebu (I love rice but I'm a bit over it now) we have also been for cocktails as the brilliant barman mentioned that they are his speciality we love long island iced tea and these were not on the menu so after telling him the recipe and Google helping out just a little we had very good cocktails served. The position of the restaurant is right on the main walkway of the town and its great to watch all the action while sipping a delicious cocktail. If your here this restaurant is really worth a visit.

I have to confess I only went to Cote Hardin as I needed to get internet connection so had to have some sweets and coffee, but the ambience is pleasant, and the service excellent.

Our homes, located in an idyllic and unspoiled area of Nosy Be, the âisland of perfumesâ, provide the ideal setting for a perfect tropical vacation. Each of these charming houses offers easy access to a long fine sandy beach set in beautiful green surroun
Home Madagascar the Residence is a magnificent, luxury place to relax and unwind and my favourite place to stay in Madagascar. This residence including a restaurant offers stylish and spacious villas and apartments with private swimming pools on a well-maintained property. We were given a huge two-floor villa with everything you can possibly wish for from Wi-Fi and a huge flat-screen TV in a beautifully decorated living room to a private swimming pool including a lounge area right at the beach! Home Madagascar the Residence has its private (800m long) beach at Befotaka Bay where you can watch a beautiful sunset with silhouettes of palm trees in front of the setting sun. To complete your relaxing stay, I would highly recommend visiting their Banyan Nosy-be Spa, where you will enjoy relaxing massages with essential oils of Madagascar. I also loved the staff; they were friendly all the time and there was even a present waiting in our villa: a tower of Madagascarâs spices. I could easily spend a week in Home Madagascar the Residence. It was very peaceful right at the beach and I loved their breakfast and diner in their Tropikaly Beach Restaurant with delicious chefâs specialties, fresh seafood, Malagasy Zebu steak and great Italian pastas. The restaurant area is located at the beach including an infinity swimming pool. If youâre looking for a relaxing holiday on Nosy Be, you should definitely check this place! Keep in mind that this place is a 35-minute drive to Ambatoloaka Bay (from where most Island daytrips start).

We have tested this restaurant three times and have been well satisfied with the food both times. Well, I ordered a dessert with chocolate fondant and it was over cooked so it was basically just chocolate cake. But it was no big deal. The restaurant has menu in English, witch is hard to find in Nosy Be. The staff is friendly, attentive and speaks ok English. They have free wifi.

You can have cocktails, lunch and dinner at our restaurant, entirely open on a terrace overlooking the bay, and surrounded by our freshwater pool: you can read while contemplating the ocean, try your hand at a Malagasy game , or log in - free - Wifi inter
The staff was attentive and spoke a fair amount of English - something we did not find everywhere on Nosy Be. Lovely view over bay, good white wine available and ice to keep it cold. We stayed in a villa close by and had a few meals here- the seafood obviously best, but I also had a traditional dish of chicken in a coconut and pineapple sauce which was delicious. Can recommend the restaurant - they also seem to keep the ever present swarms of flies away.

Restaurant beachfront sunset guaranteed sunshine before a good cocktail
Excellent location with great sea view - very nice to watch the fishermen getting back from sea , the locals arriving with their stuff to see - however , the service is really not attentive and the fruits are of poor quality.

We were staying in a different hotel, saw the reviews online and decided to go there (after calling in advance) just to learn that they won't let us dine in the restaurant unless we stay in the resort it is at. Very frustrating as we had to go back.Dear springthrualens, despite many years of management and thousands of reviews read, we are still very surprised when we see how somebody who chose to spend his/her holiday in a paradise like Nosy Be can find time to write something absurd as you did!!! You dare to give us a âterribleâ by writing that, to make it short, you could not enter both the Restaurant and the Resort!!! I feel like saying âI canât believe it!!!â More in details, you want to eat in a Restaurant without booking, without asking for availability, without being informed of the dress code or the closing day â¦â¦none of this normal procedures !!! You wanted to access the restaurant while you were wandering on the beach, without following these procedures that are a standard all over the world!!! No, no and no again!!! You were not granted the access and neither you will next time, if you do this !!! There are ways, education and respect for the business, respect for the hundreds of people working there that we think you should give !!! Why didnât you pass to the reception to ask for more information? Why didnât you ask to speak to the Manager ??? In brief: who do you think you are? You think you can come without a reservation, and find the doors of our Restaurant open for you? Please, come again next time; we will be happy to serve you but⦠do not forget to book your table in advance!!! Aiolfi Andrea

This unique restaurant is on an island connecting two beaches in Andilana resort. At low tide it is easily accessed from the beach. The view is over the clear blue waters of Andilana beach. It is essential to make bookings from the desk next to the excursion centre of the resort . Prices are hefty and in euro but make for a very special meal!
