We happened to walk past this cake shop on our walk back to our apart hotel. Although we didn't speak Spanish, we pointed at the lemon meringue pie & gestured for 1 slice. They only serve it on a paper plate with no cover or utensils so be prepared! But the cake was lush, the lemon was lovely & tangy, with the pastry thin & crispy.

Welcome to the desert brewery, with the best altiplano style hamburgers, accompanied by desert-flavored beers.
We were looking for a place to have a nice dinner and stumbled upon this restaurant. The place was cozy and beer really good. We ordered however, different plates (llama hamburger, soup or chicken) which were served cold and were not very tasteful...go for the beer!

Highly rated in guide books, Export Bar is probably the only decent after-hours hangout in Atacama. Well, that's bad news if you're a night owl because every single tourist in Atacama must have been there the night my friends and I were there. Our hostel told us this was a regular occurrence. As a result, we waited over an hour to place our orders and for our dinner to arrive. The food was decent, as were the drinks but quite frankly, the bar is overrated. We were in a large group and some of our dishes arrived cold while others were lukewarm. Note: Some people in our group also fell ill the next day - we were not able to tell if it was the food at Export Bar or breakfast, which comprised a couple of slices of bread.

Beautiful place! Clean, clear, fancy. Expensive compared to other places. Service should be a little better ;). Don't order Pisco from here. They are horrible :(I like the place, but what puts me down when someone suggests goind there is the loud music. It's not only loud. It's super loud for the size of the place, for what the place seems to offer when you pass by. It attracts you . Really! But then it brings you the noise, noise, noise and brings you discomfort. You don't even need to improve the poor Pisco, Roots! Just turn the volume down a bit ;)

The café serves very nice meals, but the homemade ice creams and sorbets are the specialty. Flavours such as algorrobo, rica-rica and chañar are made from plants that only grow here and make for special tastes. Especially nice on a hot day. Great music selection!

They serve really bad coffee. Had an Americano to take away and it was completely overheated while brewing. So it tasted Just burned. The grinding mill is not working. Its Just a fake. No refund of money after telling them that the coffee is totally inacceptable. They reacted really stupid!

this cafe serves much more than delicious healthy fresh food- and it's good prices. The lady that runs it is so lovely, up for a chat and is a on-off solo traveller herself! There's also a few interesting books she keeps, like the wildlife of the area. You can eat there in the small cafe or take it away.

We ate breakfast, one dinner and two lunches. Food is ok, but not too special. If you're looking for more fine cuisine this wouldn't be the place to eat. Service: they are friendly, some waiters need to improve efficiency and speed, but since you are on vacation this doesn't really matter ;-)
