Ristorante Tio Jacinto ad Antifagasta: Good good at quite Steep Price. Family business. Quite poor atmosphere but Fish was cooked really well. Wine was more expensive than in San Pedro or Santiago. We paid approx 32dollars for fish and wine. Quick service. Three stars.

I had the pollo con pasta de champiñones and an Austral. With a side of papas y arroz. Everything was delicious except for the rice which was not well cooked. However, not bad enough to knock them down a star. Nice atmosphere, plenty of wine selection (only 5 beer choices, the first of which we ordered they were out of). The bread they bring you as an opener was good with the pevre. Also, I forgot my sunglasses here and came back the next day and they held them for me ($300 glasses so they could have easily stolen them).

This Peruvian restaurant is a very nice place for a dinner. The personal is super nice and the atmosphere great. I had a sea food rice with a local fish. Nice but a bit too salty in my opinion. I took as well the home made ice tea, nice but nothing special.

Went for lunch. We wanted their speciality salads. (Grilled chicken). The salads were ok - the service was not good. Pity as we would have gone back for a dinner if made more welcome.

We spent a couple hours here our first morning in Antofagasta enjoying a wonderful fresh-squeeze juice, good strong coffee, steady and quick wifi, and a great-place from which to watch the residents of the city. The staff was very friendly and patient in assisting us with our initial difficulty in getting connected to the wifi (they had given us the wrong password). Highly recommended.

The minute we walked into El Arriero on December 22nd we recognised it from a previous visit to Antofagasta in 2004. Good food, meat of course predominates, nice service and, as the Lonely Planet Guide suggested, entertainment at the piano by two pianist brothers

The restaurant has several set menus, all including a selection of salads, rice ahd black beans sauce, feijoada, and at least 2 types of meat. The portions are very generous, and left overs can be taken home. Although the salads are average quality, the meat is very nice.

Delicious variety of traditional chilean sandwiches in a nice and quiet family environment for your enjoyment.
I went twice there in a week. It has nice options for typically Chilean sandwiches and other appetizers like empanadas and "chorillana". It's not expensive.

The pizza here is incredible and homemade. The couple that run the restaurant are actually Italian, so it couldn't get more authentic. They just added outdoor Seating, so do yourself a favor and go get a slice! Or get an entire pizza made speedily to go.
