Antigua Guatamala is known as the best-preserved Spanish colonial city in Central America. Stroll the cobblestone streets, lounge with the locals in Central Park on sunny afternoons or hike up one of the volcanoes overlooking the city for amazing views.

We are a Hotel with delightful, chill and relax ambiance in which you can rest after enjoying all the activities that Antigua Guatemala has to offer (Hiking, City Tours, Bars, etc.) Here we offer Private Rooms with private bathrooms, hot water 24/7, 32¨ LED TVs, high speed Wifi access in all the property and security boxes in each room. In Posada de San Carlos you will enjoy great food, a tropical garden and a huge terrace exclusively for our guest with an outstanding service willing to satisfy all your needs.
I have been staying in hotels in Guatemala for over 20 years. Posada San Carlos del Parque is a really wonderful, small, Guatemalan hotel. For the price, the hotel room was exceptional and the staff was always helpful. The location is excellent (just a block and a half from Central Park) and many restaurants to choose from within a 10-minute walk. I ate breakfast there each morning and it was excellent as well. The wifi there was very fast compared to most other hotels and locations in Guatemala.

Amazing viewpoint, super nice host. We stayed two night in this amazing place. We took the room with shared bathroom, it was just enough for us, everything works just fine. Clean, everywhere some plans and flowers :) We could have a breakfast on the terrace, which was really cool. You could have pancakes or local breakfast (eggs, beans (frijoles) and platanos.(fried bananas) Platanos are amazing :) Irving is super friendly and helped us with a lot of questions and organising our trip. Thanks a lot for such a warm welcome and help. The pick up from the airport in Guatemala was perfect, on time. The accomodation is little far from center so if you don't like walking too much choose something different . For us it was worth the walk, silence, no cars, just a birds singing and it's safe too. Definitely happy I choose Maison Bougainvillea

We stayed here for 2 nights as we needed a place with safe parking for our motorcycle, which is very difficult to find directly in Antigua. The place is very nice and clean, the owner a very nice lady with her family, all very friendly and helpful. The dinners we had here were fantastic, the treatment all around great. As they offer free transfer to Antigua and back there is no need to stay directly in Antigua. Here you have a lot more intimity.

Eternal Primavera Hotel is a boutique hotel that represents a colony image, resulting in a natural look in all its expressions, based on a colonial design, representing the historical riches of Antigua Guatemala.
We changed our plans in touring Guatemala by car and decided to return to Antigua for one more day and night in this lovely city. We booked this hotel on booking.com. When we arrived, we were so impressed. I couldn't stop taking photographs of the lush greenery and flowering plants in the courthouse. Sections of the original structure on the site are exposed through glass floors, and our room incorporated original masonry. Walking out through the front portal, we were in the heart of Antigua, with cafes, restaurants and shops abounding, many hidden away in the courtyards in the center of every building. Of course, all the historic sites are within walking distance. The extremely reasonable room rate included a delicious breakfast as well as free parking in a secure, walled area down the street. The staff were friendly but unobtrusive. On a scale of 1-10, I would give this place an 11 or 12.

Similar to another hotel of the same class that we stayed in Guatemala, this hotel has a huge mildew/humidity issue in the bathroom because of lack of air circulation -- the sole "window" in the bathroom was a passthrough opening high up on the wall connecting to the neighboring room's bathroom. All of the rooms have windows opening onto the shared courtyard/hallway. You can feel safe about leaving your windows open (no air conditioning and no overhead fan in he room) as there are vertical wooden bars in all of the windows, preventing someone coming into the room via the window. Unfortunately, this also means that if someone in the hallway or courtyard or front desk is talking you can listen to 100% of their conversation with great ease ... Even if your main goal is just to sleep. The staff is very pleasant and do their best to help you -- just don't ask them for opinions on trips or local sites: they will just quickly point you to their partner's tour company. The breakfast was very nice, although their coffee was terrible (this is Guatemala, I had expectations) and the orange juice is out of a box (or maybe Tang). We felt very safe in the hotel. It is a good location, just at the edge of where things start to look dodgy. Two grocery stores within a two minutes' walk, and a five minutes' walk from the main square and most of the sites. We would not come back to this hotel or recommend. There are many many other hotels of the same class in the area and would look for another one with the same price point.
