Reviews on Grill food in Patara, Antalya Province, Turkey. A day trip to Patara, a few miles farther west from Kalkan, offers the chance to combine horseback riding, history and sand surfing. Once an important Lycian port town, legend has it that Patara is the birthplace of Apollo and with certainty it’s the birthplace of St. Nicholas. Horseback riding for riders of all ages and capabilities is available for rides along the 22 kilometers of white beaches. And so is sand surfing.

Although this restaurant tried very hard to make our meal with them very pleasant and they did all they could, it was let down by the standard of the cooking which was very hit and miss. We all ordered steaks which were not cooked as we had asked for them to be done with frozen calamari straight from the freezer to start. The calamari was taken off the bill as was the three Mojitos which were made with lime cordial some some reason. Although the meal was not great the staff were very entertaining and couldnât have been better, we did enjoy the evening though unsure about the food!!

Salonika retaurant offers excellent Turkish cuisine, Housed in a wonderfully restored old Turkish house.A delicious range of cold and warm starters, salads, and fish are available, to be rounded off with light deserts and drinks.
This restaurant is in a really buzzing street in Kalkan. The restaurant was very busy but the food was brought reasonably quickly by friendly hard working staff. The food itself was great, beautifully presented and very tasty.Recommended!

Booked a table for 9pm, arrived on time but were nearly knocked over by two waiters who pushed past us on the spiral staircase one of whom shouted " No tables ". Not the best start. A couple were finishing a meal at the table that was supposedly reserved for us and the owner/ manager asked if we would wait at an unoccupied table for four - we declined to wait and he then decided that we could occupy it for our meal. The table rocked badly to the extent that water sloshed out of the glasses and they eventually wedged it but only after having to ask twice. We ordered 3 mezes and while we were waiting they sat a single lady diner down to join us without asking if it was ok with us. As it happens she was an absolute delight but she felt embarrassed by the initial situation. Our meal arrived and the potato skin stuffed with wildboar was delicious as was the crab cake. The other dish was avocado with prawns and egg and the avocado was rock hard and completely inedible. When we complained the owner unbelievably said that avocados are out of season and that they warn customers that they can be hard. Have you ever heard such tosh in all your life and to add insult to injury he made no adjustment to the bill. As far as we are concerned this is a place to avoid.

" Traditional Turkish kebab and grill kinds with daily and delicious mezze options in KaÅ/ Kalkan. "
This place is just outside the main strip of restaurants down to the harbour but definitely offers the best quality for the money whilst staying in Kalkan. Really awesome range of BBQ meats and Turkish specialities... we tried 4 different dishes this time and all were fantastic... tasty and fresh. They bring you a massive balloon bread with dips once youâve ordered your food. Our welcome here is always good, the staff are efficient and friendly and there are always lots of Turkish people eating here which is a good sign. We have been here Several times in previous years and would highly recommend. Much cheaper than the places down by the front and more authentic.
