We dine at Classic nearly every Friday night for our "date night." It's our favorite restaurant. We've had Shrimp-n-grits, seared Ahi Tuna (our favorite), Osso Bucco (heaven-on-a-plate), grilled sea bass, fried green tomato salad, texas cavier with pita chips, dirty Martinis, scallops, salmon and nearly every other item on the menu. Our fave dessert is Creme Brulee w/fresh fruit & wafer cookie. We've never had a disappointment at Classic. Staff is obliging and friendly. Elegant but friendly atmosphere and the owners frequently stop by tables to make certain everything is perfect for you. Several times, David has sent something special (warm fresh baked cookies) to our table for us to sample. The two-story restaurant interior is very beautiful, with old hardwood floors, gleaming crystal chandeliers and white linen tablecloths which lend a celebratory feel to every visit. Each holiday decoration theme is over the top! Through the years, their grand piano has been played by no less then Liberace and Ray Charles! Beautiful life-size Santa is a must for Christmas St. Nick selfies! Owned by David and Cathy Mashburn. Mashburn family members frequently work in the restaurant. Delightful dining experience.

My husband and I are from out of town and made reservations to dine at Garfrericks based on tripadvisor reviews. We couldn't have been happier with the quality of food and service. The outside of the building looks a little funky, like a strip plaza, but the inside is beautiful and the smells will get your stomach going as soon as you walk through the door.

This was my second visit to Artisanal Baked Goods. Their molasses cookies are the best I've ever had. So soft and tasty! There were lots of different items this time - and of course had to try them. Everything is just as good as it looks - even better! Will always visit when am in town.
Artisanal is only open to the public on Friday and Saturday. The other days they are baking for the restaurants in the area. This was my first time to go here but other customers and staff were very helpful on what to purchase. Everyone stated they hadn't ever had anything that wasn't delicious from the bakery. They were correct! I purchased a large variety of items to try. The cookies were the best I've ever tasted. The monkey bread was melt in your mouth wonderful. The chocolate croissants were very tasty. Will always make sure I'm in Anniston on a Friday or Saturday to be at this bakery!

The pre-meal sides (cornbread & coleslaw) are always good. Fried pickles are a must have from the Top. Catfish is just 'OK'.

We were in Anniston the day of the historic snowfall, 8 December. One of the very handful of businesses that decided to stay open was the Mellow Mushroom. Thank goodness we had some place else to go besides the hotel. Excellent pizza as always! Good...MoreThanks for the review! We are happy to hear you were able to visit during the snow event and enjoy great pizza and beer. Come back anytime you are in the area, and we hope to see you again!

Based on my one experience tonight, I would not choose to go back to this place. The issue wasn’t a huge deal, but it’s a matter of principle and making happy customers.
Food: it was fine. I loved my sushi roll, which they were happy to let me customize. Tempura veggies and shrimp were tasty too.
Service: Overall, it was fine, but when a problem came up, the restaurant showed it’s unwillingness to admit fault or to attempt to make it right for a customer...
When I ordered my drink, I asked the waitress if they had a house Pino Grigio. She said yes. The menu clearly states house wines are $5.50. When the check came, I had been charged $7.50. I asked the girl who brought our checks about it, and she went to ask. Next, another person who was not our waitress came over the explain that that was their “house” Pino Grigio - the cheapest on the menu. I explained that I asked if they had a house Pino and the waitress said yes and that the menu showed $5.50 for house wines. We were on a work per diem, and that $2 was important to not go over budget. She stood her ground and stated again that this was their “house” Pino. I told her it was misleading. She half apologized and walked away, returning later with my full check. She did apologize, but I was not pleased. It was only $2, but it was the principle of the matter: I was told there was a house Pino, and the menu says house is $5.50.
When our waitress came back by, I explained what she had said and why I was not pleased with the check. She said, “Would you like me to go get you $2?” At that point, I was irritated because they were making this out to be my fault. It’s $2. Eat it gladly to make a happy customer, especially when you have me the wrong info. I told her to forget it and that in the future, they should be more clear.
They did apologize, but basically, this place lost a customer over $2 tonight.

Cheaha Brewing Company is a brewpub in the 1885 L&N freight house. We currently serve hand crafted beer produced in Alabama and nearby. Soon, we will begin brewing our own beers and have them on tap. Our beer is paired with uniquely prepared dishes incorporating as much locally produced and all natural food as possible.
We've been here a couple of times and have enjoyed both visits. We have family coming into soon and will be taking them back for a visit!

You've never had pizza until you've had a Mata's Greek Pizza! There are no words to explain how delicious this pizza is! This pizza is so good that people who aren't real pizza fans love it! You can't go wrong with getting the Mata's Extra Special Pizza! If veggies aren't your thing then go for the all meat pizza. If you like subs....forget subway and grab you a ham and cheese grinder from here! I just feel in love all over again just by talking about it!

On Sunday, June 4th, I stopped during my trip and dined for lunch at the Olive Garden in Oxford Alabama. I arrived around 11:15 after they had just opened. I elected to sit at the bar given it was the least crowded and also not to take up a table for the busy Sunday lunch crowd.
After being seated the manager said they were having computer issues but it was being reset and a server would be with me shortly. I sat and waited some 10 minutes before I was greeted by the bar server who acted like she had rather be anywhere than work. I quickly ordered coffee as my drink followed by soup and salad as my lunch.
Upon arrival, the salad was served with HUGE chunks of lettuce that appeared to have barely been cut up, I had to request for cheese, to be put on top and she quickly disappeared. After the bowl was empty and she was standing at the corner of the bar reading, I asked if I could get my soup. She then brought out my soup and it was very hot and tasty. I had to request a refill of soup as she never offered it.
She brought a small pot of coffee to my seat and she never once asked if I needed more etc.
I can honestly say in my 25 years of eating at Olive Garden this was by far my worst experience. When you have a manager that is not managing and wait staff that does not care about customers it makes for a miserable experience.

Monica was my server this evening and she was fantastic. Attentive service but not smothering, excellent recommendations and she knew the menu well. I tried the mushroom ravioli with browned butter off the appetizer menu. It was excellent. The flavor was spot on with the mushrooms, browned butter and Parmesan rounded it out well. I added a dinner salad with the house white wine vinaigrette that was very good. My drink never got below half full. For dessert, the chef had created a lemon icebox Neapolitan with cinnamon sugar phyllo, berries, cream and sweetened fried angel hair pasta sticks. It was AMAZING! I will happily be a repeat customer and try the Voodoo Pasta that was recommended as well.
