Reviewed By Neil TThe hotel is opposite Angers St Laud SNCF station. Very friendly reception staff who speak very good English. Comfortable bed for tall person, separate room with shower and toilet, very clean and very little road noise. Breakfast is fine but more fresh fruit (grapefruit/melon etc) would be good. Interesting place mats with local cycle routes.Very accomodating for early start at 06.00 with breakfast ready promptly. Highly recommended.

GREAT BREAKFAST certainely recommended

Reviewed By main_travellerbasic hotel with very limited amenities, so don’t expect much more services than a standard 3* however rooms are clean and the hotel is very central from this location, you can walk around Angers Also there is a parking nearby. personal of the hotel is very nice and offered a welcome cocktail overall it did the job for a couple of nights and we have had a very nice time in Angers

Off the beaten track, in a magnificent green setting around a windmill classified as an exceptional tourist site, in the cellar of which is found our restaurant "le Cavier", where our chef blends creation with tradition in the preparation of succulent dishes for diners.

Reviewed By BunnioThe hotel is located in a busy area of retail parks but its position in a corner keeps it fairly quiet. It is conveniently situated for getting to Angers by car. A large parking area serves both the hotel and a bistro at the opposite end of the site. When we stayed, the parking was only just enough to cope with both establishments. The room was clean and modern, the bed rather firm. There was no air conditioning, but when we travelled the weather was mild so the room felt comfortable. Internet connection was poor. All in all, this was a perfectly acceptable if not outstanding hotel.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in
Reviewed By travellingaround81Stayed here on a business trip for 3 nights. From start to end the hotel and it’s staff were amazing. The executive room was immaculate, being a brand new hotel, it did not disappoint. Free soft drinks in the mini bar, free digital safe, amazing rain shower and a VERY comfortable bed. Massive 60 inch t.v and a robe and slippers were nice finishing touches. Incredible views of the city up on the 9th floor ? The reception staff couldn’t have been more helpful and were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel felt very Covid safe at all times with sanitiser, hand wipes and masks mandatory at all times. I would 100% recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Angers on business or pleasure. A very short walk and you are in the heart of the action. There is a very secure car park right next door priced at €17 per day, worth every Penny to have a safe place to store your pride and joy whilst enjoying the area. If here on business, I will definitely be returning. Thanks Novotel.

OK to park half on the pavement to quickly unload (buses seem used to this) and then turn sharp right and drive two minutes to underground Parking Ralliement. Friendly reception and all staff generally pleasant and helpful.. Light and rather bland Privilege room at the front. Overlooked very noisy main road but double glazing reasonably effective. Luckily aircon was adequate in a May heatwave. Very comfortable bed, adequate storage, decent lighting and Wifi. No TV channels in English. Kettle (unusual) and coffee machine. Bathroom fine with OK shower in bath. Breakfast selection fine. No restaurant, but associate restaurant Joe Carpa next door was excellent, with no need to book. Also recommend Pizzeria Signorizza nearly opposite. Good location with main square, shops, cathedral, art museum and chateau all within easy walking distance.

The elevator from the parking to the hotel was not working but the staff is happy to walk you to the parking garage if you're not comfortable - it's not far, but since I was leaving early in the morning I didn't feel comfortable walking by myself. Centrally located and they are very happy to recommend places to visit and routes to walk around the city. I was very impressed as the front desk staff also helped to clean the rooms - just says a lot about the people that they employ and the helping spirit - no one is too important to help out. Love that about this place!

Reviewed By LooeManThis hotel has all the usual Ibis features, although it has no parking. Staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are well equipped, and the beds are comfortable. Free wifi throughout the hotel, Good breakfast, with 'doggy bags' to take some fruit for 'vitamins on the go'.. The nearest car parks are five to ten minutes away. Although not quite the nearest Parking Moliere is the most accessible on the flat. As this hotel is in the town centre the car parks can be full, especially on a Saturday. It is possible to park briefly outside the hotel (in the 'livraisons' areas to drop off or pick up luggage. The hotel is superbly located for the centre of Angers, beside the Loirte with the cathedral just around the corner.

The room was a 2 to 3 star at best But on a positive note the night staff guy was exceptional ! he changed our rooms with out any hesitation, a complete professional The new room was a 3.5 star much better , two towels soap extra … It’s hot and miss with Mercure hotel .Flick the coin and see what happens Over all great night staff room generally good

Super hotel in lovely building
Reviewed By andrew cGreat family run hotel in perfect location. Parking was ideal with gates locked at night for security. We had a lovely room and our friend a single which although as described by the hotel as small was very well designed and clean. More importantly the price for the single room was appropriately less, making a change from the usual cost when wanting a single room. We have stayed in Angers before and can thoroughly recommend this hotel as an excellent base to visit the city
