Arrived late in Andorra after a long drive from Toulouse, so I wanted a good meal. Really did not disappoint. Had the wild mushroom salad with foie gras, the salmon carpaccio and the escargots. The lady owner was very delightful, explaining the menu to me even though I could tell she was rather tired of repeating the same thing to every customer.
The restaurant had a cosy setting, and it was split into two sides, one with the bar. I was seated in the one without the bar, which was much quieter. The food was excellent, and there was both French and some Catalan dishes.

As another reviewer has said eat/drink whatever Henrik recommends! We hunted this place down after doing a search on trip advisor for the best place in La Massana and we weren't disappointed.
Lovely quaint décor, quirky and interesting. We went for lunch which was very quiet but it meant that we got the best of Henrik's advice.
We had broad beans with local ham and black chorizo to start which were delicious, hubby had the Catalan onion soup which was a thin ish soup with a big cheesy crouton on top, also very good. Then hubby had a steak, which Henrik advised not to add a sauce to (he was right!) and I had duck and foie gras ravioli all washed down with a really good local red wine that Henrik recommended.
We even stayed on to try some of Henrik's wifes homemade chocolate cake with chocolate sauce, which was probably the most chocolately dessert I've ever had! I could feel my teeth dissolving from the sugar ;) but it was worth it.
Definitely worth tracking this place own if you want an authentic meal!

Tl;dr: DELICIOUS food, 2 hours having lunch and funny waiter. I'll come back.
The restaurant is quiet hidden and the decoration pretty old-fashioned.
The waiter is really funny and you can perceive that he has a lot of experience.
The restaurant is little having room for about 20 people.
Talking about food... gorgeous I had the best Risotto I've ever tasted in my life. I also had a delicious piece of meat. And the couland, eventhough it wasn't perfectly cooked it was delicious anyways.
We spent around 2 hours having lunch, but we were very comfortable and had eaten very good.
If I come back to Andorra, I'll surely come back.

A delightful and relaxing setting lends itself to an amazing meal with wonderful service. Fabulous starters of veloute with wild mushrooms and Iberian ham, and a carpaccio of shrimp and citrus. Followed by duck confit with red fruits and an amazing raviloil with truffles. Lovely choices of local wines. This is a place not to miss if you visit Andorra.
Thank you for such a lovely lunch!

We wanted to enjoy our dinner in Andorra in a Borda (typical Pyrenees farmer house) and we booked Borda Vella. Everything was perfect: the service, the food, the wine... Nice atmosphere as well. We were sleeping in Andorra la Vella but definetely the trip was worth it (less than 10 minutes).

This is Andorra, so standards are lower and perhaps this is the best place around. But do not expect anything exceptional. Some ingredients ar ebelow average (bread, beens were terrible), some are above average. Price around 20 euros for three courses lunch is about fair. Owners are nice.

The menu, the hospitality and attention, the food itself and how it looks, the design, the ratio of price and quality - everything is perfect. We have been there twice and everything we have eaten was very good. I would recommend the grilled octopus and beef filet.
You will be served with "pan con tomate" set that also includes fuet and olives. At the end of a dinner don't refuse to try "chupito", a shot of a liquor (peach is my favorite).
The only negative thing (that was finally compensated by the food quality) was that on our second visit there were more people then the management expected that day. And with all the efforts of the management we were waiting for our order for too long:( Next time we will be coming earlier:)

La Capricciosa is a little Italian Pizzeria, where you can taking a good choice of pizzas, salades and desserts. Also you'll can taste some good italian wines, beers and drinks and, of course, the best italian coffe ! Capacity max 21 people.
Simple eatery offering a large choice of pizzas which are all make from scratch on the premises which is spotlessly clean. The taste reflects the fresh ingredients and the chap making the food seems to take real pleasure in his craft. You take away or eat in by the window and watch the world.

As a Russian I know that restaurants attempting to serve the cuisine of our country are difficult to run - each dish requires a number of laborious steps to prepare. It's hard work and expensive to create a quality Russian dish. That is why, even in Russia, it is almost impossible to find genuine examples... and why people tend to say that you're better off going to someone's home to eat rather than visiting a restaurant.
In fact, I've visited "Russian" restaurants in Moscow, London, Lisbon, Barcelona and New York. Each time was disappointing. Usually it was expensive and disappointing! Thus, I must admit I was going to take some convincing to eat at El Cresper... and now I can happily announce that this really is the very best Russian restaurant I've ever visited.
The first thing to say about El Cresper is the attention to evetyhing - the decor, the service, the ambience, the food. It's homely, yet somehow formal. The dining room is very nicely decorated and welcoming. The ambience is cheery with Russian music quietly playing in the background. Our host was very welcoming and helped explain the different dishes to everyone, especially when they were quite unfamiliar. The chef popped out from time to time to also make sure everything was alright, which was a sweet touch.
The dishes were excellent - the ingredients fresh and flavours full on. Interestingly, the chef has paid attention to making the dishes quite lean at the same time - and this is much appreciated since many Russian dishes can be very heavy.
To run through a summary of what we had when there:
- Russian salad is made as it really should be, quite light and served beautifully,
- "Shuba" is actually made with salmon and not the traditional herring (since it's impossible to get the latter in Andorra!), I was really impressed,
- Vinagrette is very up-lifting and a tangy starting dish,
- Borsch is made with really fresh ingredients and worked well as a main dish on an evening I was not very hungry,
- the Stroganoff is unlike I have tried before - it it spiced a little more than I've usually tried and at the same time very lean (typically I find Stroganoff is served with far too much cream and butter) and is accompanied by "plov" - a Russian pilau,
- the grilled meats were always very tender and flavoured with delicious Russian herbs and spices,
- Pelmeni (Siberian ravioli) were fantastic - this was one of my favourite dishes as a child and I was so happy to see them on the menu!
- the fantasia of fruits has become our favourite dessert - really recommend it.
When we visited the first time, we had French friends with their children as guests. All of them loved the food. The second time we visited, we were there with a Venezuelan and a Colombian who were both also very impressed. You can imagine how happy it made me feel to share a slice of home with good friends, knowing it was going to be perfect every time!

Elegant, simple decor, comfortable Seating, great view. Very attentive service - genuinely caring about the customers. But what surprises above all is the quality and the complexity of the food. You can tell everything is fresh. The "magret" was excellent, but so was everything else, including the desserts (pannacotta, chocolate fondue...) I recommend to take a walk after your meal there - the Ruta de Hierro (the Iron Road) is just a few steps away and takes you to beautiful places in just under 15 minutes - along a river, and passing by outdoor sculptures. All in all, great location, wonderful service and amazing food. Highly recommended.
