This is a typical oyster port restaurant but with a difference. The fish and shellfish are prepared with originality which makes a lovely change from the classic offerings in other seafood restaurants. Our waitress was very friendly as well as being efficient. The desserts were delicious and homemade. It was a stormy, Saturday evening at the end of February and the restaurant was very nearly full. I think that speaks for itself.

Was taken here by local friends. The meal was fantastic. I had a plate of seafood, served on ice and was a great quality and very fresh. 4of the party had a local in season fish which was filleted at the table. We asked the head waitress to recommend a white wine, which was excellent and a sensible price.
Worth a visit and you must book in the season as it gets very busy.

Nothing very imaginative or extravagant about this place. Simple cuisine, with fresh products, reasonably priced (full menus cost 14€, 18€ or 25€). Oldish decor that can't have been updated for over 20 years. The place is busy with locals (mostly the elderly locals).
Recommended for a decent meal that doesn't break the bank, not for a memorable night out.

This restaurant has a lovely position on the port, with a real rustic feeling. The Terrace is lovely, and the welcoming staff give good service. The food is excellent and the fruits de mer just perfect. The menu is varied, but clearly it's a fish restaurant, so if fish isn't your thing - best avoid it or you might stay hungry. It's not cheap however, but for a treat and for seafood lovers, it's a perfect venue for a night out.

Here we are , overlooking the Bassin d' Arcachon , all looks lovely so we look for a restaurant , many along the front but this one looks better than some others and they ; have platters of Moules-Huitres-Boulots-Crevettes and plates of Les fruits de Mer , OK so will splash out a bit ; We order our food when the water is Marrée Basse at the end of the second course it's Marée Haute , so don't be in a hurry
First course was fine les Huitres & Gambas , well not too much cooking there , trouble is they had to cook the fish and we waited as the tide came in ;
I finished off the bread basket whilst waiting , Waiters were all very polite and helpful , so no complains there.
Two things I dislike in France , cold plates and having to use the cutlery for each course , where" the waiter takes them off your plate and puts them back in front of you even when dirty from the first course
So , whilst waiting I looked around , cutlery really was from that good year 1942 , even the table we sat at , seemed the same year , then the chairs , then you look around a bit more and realise the whole place really does need a total clean and makeover
Having asked for a hot plate for us all , they arrived , shall we say !! not hot, not cold but cold/warm , so that was a waste of time asking
To be very honest and I try to be in every review for the price, the sole was soleless , overcooked , everything tepid ; The Arrow for marks out of 10 would be pointing to below 5 , then we ran out of time for the dessert ;
My impression was the service did need organising , waiters were all very young , they tried hard but lacked experience , kitchen far too slow
Lovely views from the restaurant , could be a great place , but needs attention to everything as sometimes tourists come back twice , great shame
Would we go again , maybe , in a couple of years to see if anything has changed

Everything was excellent from the friendly greeting to the plentiful profiteroles (one is enough for two normal adults). The poached oysters are a definite treat for a starter, the foie gras was superb too. The "Parillada de poisson" has 4 types of nicely broiled fish (it is quite filling), and the seafood was very pleasing too.
The Atelier is one of the best places we ate at in Andernos. We will go there again the next time we visit this area

A simply delightful restaurant, with a takeaway pizza facility. Lively décor/ambience, good menu, courteous young staff and importantly, clean well maintained toilets; if the toilets are clean, the kitchen is probably clean!
I went there for dinner and was very happy with everything I had, very good value for the price. It was all delicious and was well presented on the plate.

The small table in Nathy and Manu welcomes you into his home arcachonnaise style in a friendly atmosphere. Fresh produce and home cooking. Meat and fish specialties, daily menus. Aperture (`winter period): Tuesday, Wednesday noon, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday lunch
Lovely friendly restaurant, excellent food, book if you can, Friday night very busy. Food is good, generous helpings, desserts home made and sinful! Superb place for kids, all the TinTin books if they get bored... Very friendly and helpful patron who will translate if your French isn't up to scratch!

My husband took me here for my birthday on the 14th February. The staff were charming and the food was excellent. The steak was beautifully cooked and the dessert was delicious. What more can I say but try it when you're in the area. Well worth it!

We have had several ice creams here over the last 4 years.
Always great ice creams and gaufres
We reckon about 130 varieties of ice cream
Always friendly service
No hesitation in going again; it is just an ice cream shop, but the best ice cream shop we have ever visited
