Mariano, the Chef, is one of the most talented Italian cooks, and under his direction this restaurant is now the best you can find in Ancona, and one of the top 10 you can find in Le Marche region.

Clandestino susci bar il located in Portonovo Bay white rock ,turquoise water , lavander and brooms on the Hills around.
We had lunch at Clandestino and enjoyed some very nice and tasty dishes. Especially the octopus salad was spectacularly prepared. Also, the taste combinations prepared by the chef (Maureno Cedroni, also owner of a nearby 2* restaurant) are really interesting and original for Italy, where most other restaurants serve standard Italian seafood. Bit pricey for what you get, because you're also paying for the MC name and the great location

A tremendous, fantastic experience which I hope to live again: stunned and truly satisfied, this is my first impression of this little diamond in the Ancona's countryside.
It is not easy to get to the restaurant, and it is not easy to spot it from the road: you will not cross path with it unless you really look for it, and it is all worth it.
Elegance, sobriety, professionalism, courtesy, and cooking preciousness are the key words for the evening. The cherant to high levels, and made our dinner a special one.
The chef was a master in both fish and meat: I had fish, while my girlfriend took meat, and we were both ecstatic. The flavors were superbly combined to make an orchestrated symphony in the mouth, while chewing such a quality of food. The list of wines you can chose from is very vast, and I could have gotten lost, hadn't I asked for suggestions. he Deserts are a point of high value for this restaurant. It has a professional chocolate lab, which produces some of the best tasting chocolate I have (ever) had. Do ask the waitress for it, or you'd miss on something very special. However, keep in mind that this is a very high level restaurant, and I'd bet nothing is less than perfect.
Th atmosphere is the most appropriate one for special occasion: large tables are well separated from one another, while a diffused soft music sings in the background. A wooden floor with many vintage-looking pieces of design on the walls will complete the magical setting of the night.
I am surprised it has not gotten Michelin stars (yet), and I look forward to see it getting one.
Prices reflect the quality of serving, food, and place. However, they are also less costly than what you would get if you were in the center of larger cities.

My husband and I always stop in this place when we come through the Sirolo area. The food is amazing - today I had the Gnocci con Rosso Conero - wonderfully prepared! This is a great place to stop for some primi or an apertivo - a nice place for panini. Biker friendly. Hostesses are very cool.

We chose the tasting menu and it was good. The pasta dish with Sage & Rosemary pesto was extremely original and delicious as was the Ricotta soufflé antipasto. The rest was very good but not exceptional.
One thing to mention: outstanding wine for the menu prices. We had a very good bottle for only 15 euros, something unthinkable in many other countries.
All in all well worth the 30 euros for the 5 course tasting menu.

FARM SURROUNDED BY NATURAL PARK CONERO. WITH VIEW ON THE VINEYARDS AND OLIVE GROVES COMPANY, ON THE CAMPAIGN AND THE WOODS OF CONERO THAT plunge into the sea.
This restaurant is in a "agriturismo", so most of the food you will taste here is home made and/or a product of their land, such as an excellent Rosso Conero wine, vegetables and pasta. The food is really good, large portions and great taste do not always come together, but here they do! The personnel is really kind and helpful and the place is almost magic at night. In the summer, you can dine outside with a splendid view over mount Conero, the sea below and countryside all around. Nothing luxurious but a great place if you wish to spend a nice evening with family and friends or a romantic candle-lit night tasting the best of Italian food. Last surprise will come from the bill, for a complete meal you would spend around 25 euros!

From Noon until 2:00pm /14:00 Italy shuts down to honor their tradition of family during their most important meal of the day.
La Giuggiola is in the hills of the Marche region. It is surrounded by wineries & in route to spectacular views of the Adriatic Sea.
This is a family run business, B&B & event location. I was there for lunch.
The food is fresh, local & handmade. “Bread is always on the table” as tradition dictates.
Service was wonderful! I chose an adventurous selection of antipasto, soup, pastas & meats. All were fresh & delicious!
I had the pleasure of a family celebrating the birthday of their 92 years young matriarch. She was vibrant & witty!
I go where the locals go & La Giuggiola is the right choice for family, solo & tradition! Great food!

Very friendly staff and willing to please. Extremely knowledgeable of the menu. Everything is cooked a large minute and homemade pasta. The homemade spaghetti with langoust was awesome, very tasty. The local flavours are a real pleasure and you get the care in the dishes served.
The white wine offered with the meal was really very refreshing nice taste and full of aroma. After taste very pleasant.
This should be on your list when visiting Ancona
