Backed by 40 years of experience in various fine dining kitchens around the globe, Werner Kuhn set up El Cerdo KL, in the year 2005. The restaurant is well known to many as the No. 1 European style Pork Specialty eatery in Kuala Lumpur, focusing on traditional recipes. Having gathered many accolades for its outstanding food and service quality, the most popular item is "The Cochinillo Segoviano", a Spanish style roasted suckling pig dish that is served with the obligatory Plate Cutting Ceremony. Our slogan shouts out loud 'Nose To Tail Eating'.
We had the meat balls as starter, the spare ribs and pig tail stew as main. The starter is a bit salty. The spare ribs were tender and juicy and so as the pig tail. Service was very good. We also ordered a bottle of wine. And the bill was around 330 ringgit which I found it was totally worth it. The ambience was nice two. I saw that the next tables had the suckling pig and it looked very delicious. Surely we will try next time.

Antipodean Cafe only uses quality coffee beans roasted at our own Cafes by Indonesia's top specialty roaster, Merdeka Coffee. Why is our coffee so good? Because Merdeka Coffee only purchases coffee beans directly from our partners, who are small-holding growers, rather than going through the brokerage system. At Antipodean Cafe, we work hard to offer a uniquely "antipodean" style cafe food menu. Our favorites include a BLT on sour dough bread, double salmon fish cakes, Burmese shredded chicken salad and of course a range of delicious and healthy breakfast choices for all ages. Cake and biscuit choices include Carrot Cake, caramelised apple and cashew cakes, shortbread, raisin loaf, date cake and so much more! All our cakes are baked in-house using recipes handed down by famous Kiwi chefs (and relatives).
I come here quite regularly. the location is great, not far from KLCC and KL city center.
They have a lot of options to chose from. However, my favorite is the Spinach with feta cheese scrambled eggs. and if you're in for a little dessert you should try the Banana Bread with Cheese & Honey.
The coffee is good and the service is fantastic.

The Steakhouse is a 40-seater steak joint along Changkat Bukit Bintang and adjacent to The Whisky Bar. The beef is imported from Australia and you can choose between the aged Black Angus and Grain Fed. Thereon, choose from five cuts - medallion, tenderloin, rib-eye, T-bone and striploin after which you choose your sauce (bearnaise, black pepper, red wine etc) and style of potatoes (baked, mashed, wedges etc).
You need to have steaks here- obviously - and they are good. My partner and I both had Ribeye - excellent. The sauces and accompaniments are great too. The service was noteworthy and brilliant - extra sauce provided at the drop of a hat etc....MoreHi StevieCCD, thank you for the review! Introducing Opium KL! Established on 12th July 2014, this unique outlet focuses on Asian Oriental delights with a twist; such as Phoenix Dumpling, Fern Leaf Salad, Crispy Duck Noodles, Wagyu Beef Rendang, and the signature Beef Brisket & Tendon Stew just to name a few. Inspired by the Opium regimes of the east, the interior speaks for itself. Furnished with age-old artifacts such as an opium bed in the Rose Room, opium pipes and huge Chinese wine pots displayed vividly at the Communal area, the outlet aspires a 1930s-1960s look and feel. It's slogan, Eat Drink Man Woman takes a more subtle approach to distinguish Opium KL as the place for people to unwind and focus purely on the food, conversation and quality time.
We visited for dinner on a Friday night. The location is within a bustling area, right next to Jalan Alor. They have both outdoor and indoor Seating. Outdoors permits smoking, but lets you watch all the action on the adjacent streets. We tried the chicken...MoreHi ishan23, thank you for the lovely review! I spent an awesome morning with friends in this wonderful setting painting using traditional batik methods. I'm no batik expert but had a great time trying and will treasure my art work forever. A very traditional setting and lovely staff. Thank you. Strongly recommend you try this when you visit KL even if you are not arty!!

Our group shared the pork knuckle, organic pork ribs and the sausages. All the dishes were excellent - of the 3, perhaps the only one that was slightly less good was the pork ribs, but a minor discrepancy. there is also other meats on the menu and pizza. There is draft Guinness available, which was good. If someone in the party has a birthday, the waiters all gather round and sing Happy Birthday - so be prepared to be embarrased! The music is all 60s/70s/80s, which was good for us, but the younger crowd may not appreciate it. Overall, a good meal in a restaurant with a good atmosphere. Would recommend.

Terrace, garden and indoor Seating for eating those wicked ribs and drinking those brutal martinis. Get a "shake, shake, shake" dance with any martini order. Funky and fun decor with naughty piggies everywhere. Meet new friends by sitting at communal tables or choose a smaller table for more intimate moments. Come for lunch, dinner or pre-club launch, our friendly staff will welcome you anytime.
Naughty Nuri’s is a Balinese restaurant which specializes in Babi Guling - roasted suckling pig which we didn’t get the chance to try in Indonesia. On Sunday they have a snout to tail buffet which includes the babi guling so we happy to head over to check it out.
They have an interesting buffet concept. The salads and desserts are out for you to choose from, everything else you order from the menu. You can order as much as you want with the exception of a couple of items where they limit them to one per person and babi guling is one of those items.
We tried the nasi goreing, mi goering, truffle fries, crispy belly, spicy ribs and of course the babi guling. The nasi & mi goerings were ok (not as good as in Indonesia). The pork dishes were fantastic!
If you are going I would suggest going early. We went at 2:00 pm (it runs until 3:00 pm) and we got the last two orders of babi guling.
Service was excellent!
