Everything was delicious from the bread, antipasto, wedge salad, ribeye for 2, fried onions and mushrooms, dessert, raspberry and mascarpone cake and cappuccino. Yummy, we are definitely going back.

Bacaro serves very good Italian food.. The portions are large and very fairly priced..
On weekends its very crowded and the service can be very erratic, had to ask 3x for water and additional bread etc.
The food comes out fast because they like to have a quick turnover.. This can be annoying if you want to sit and chat with friends.
Also has a bar scene and it can get LOUD in that area..
BTW - if you want a weekend reservation, call TWO weeks ahead.
Enjoy !!

Their burgers are simple and delicious, cheese, pickles, fine diced onions on a seeded bun, the flavor of the beef is really good so you don't need to do much. The line can look intimidating like you'd be waiting forever but there are actually 4 lines open and you wont be waiting long. I've never waited longer then 5 minutes. Be aware that it is cash only. I suggest parking on the street or across in the parking lot to eat the burgers while they are hot.

There seems to be a new team in place or maybe ownership. NIce people but the service was slow. The worse part was, the food is different. My favorite hot open Turkey sandwich is now Turkey roll with warm gravy. So sad to see this happen here.
Please bring back the old food and chef.

They had a fire and are rebuilding by the early part of July. There is no Bagel shop in a ten mile radius that has the quality and the size of the Better Bagel. It meets its names reputation. they are also owner of an adjoining restaurant for breakfast and lunches which is so good that it draws people from as far west as Merrick and as far east as Babylon. We are all awaiting the re-opening. Bob Blumm

Came here with a friend for dinner on Saturday Night. Had the Cavetelli Bolognese which truthfully was one of the best I have had. Staff was very attentive and we enjoyed our meal. Will definitely be going back soon!

Starting off with cold wet pretzel roll was not a good way to start ,potato pan cakes were more dough than potato very thick ,salads were just ok ,German sausage tasted if were boiled in water lacked flavor ,Jager snitzele was very thin and dry way over cooked like burnt toast ,pork shank was tasteless and very wet like it was boiled mushy skin ,meatballs over noodles were cold as if every thing here has been reheated ,its a shame because atmosphere is nice and the place could have potential if the chef stepped it up

The menu provides a wide variety of tapas which includes various cheese and meat boards and individual dishes to order in conjunction with your meats and/or cheeses. The Iberico or serrano ham is akin to the Italian ham prosciutto, although tougher. The garlic shrimp was delicious, and the blood sausage I found to be lacking sufficient consistency and taste. It appears they put a glaze of some sort on it to enhance the taste. The service we found to also be lacking with the placing of warm tap water on the table and once the food was delivered we didn't have the waiter check on us at all. In comparison to other similar restaurants serving like cuisine we found this restaurant to be no more than average.

Came to Carney's Pub for dinner with friends. The live music was entertaining without being overwhelming. Our server, Tommy D., was excellent. He was attentive and was able to accommodate our eating restrictions. The food was tasty and the portions were filling.

This local spot has great entrees. We had never eaten here and were treated to a catered meal at the Atlantique Fire Island Marina. The food was excellent and we were surprised to find out it was from our home town. We finally made it in for dinner and the food was great. We took the menu home to remember to order for take out.
