What a wonderful way to finish off our honeymoon trip! We had a lovely 2 night stay in Hlosi Game Lodge, with fantastic food, very friendly staff and amazing game drives. Our ranger, Evans, was great fun and very knowledgable about all the animals. He made sure to give us the best experience on the drives- we saw elephants, rhinos, cheetahs, giraffes and so much more!! The only downside was the weather- it was pretty stormy with some impressive rain showers, but thankfully cleared up well for the drives. The drives were cold once the sun was gone, so I would advise lots of layers, a wooly hat, a snood and even gloves (during the winter months anyway)! Overall fantastic experience and would highly recommend a stay here!

We got to see the BIG 5 and plenty more besides. Early morning, afternoon and night-time game drives, for which we only had to pay addionally for the night drives. We were too exhausted to use the Spa but also managed to chill by one of the pool sides, plus they had a waterhole cam ?.

An absolutely fab experience from start to finish. Was met by the lovely Jean-Luke and Mandy and went to check into our beautiful lodge. Omggg right near the waterhole with our own plunge pool. The food was 5 star here with a menu choice for each meal, wine, beer or soft drinks with lunch and dinner and a mini bar in each lodge. We were so surprised one night as the staff made my sister a birthday cake and came out singing to her and we hadnt said it had been her birthday recently. The lodge was so comfortable with under floor heating and a fab outdoor shower, bath and lounge area. We took 6 game drives with the very pleasant, knowledgeable ranger Martin and we saw so many animals each time. The leopards and cheetahs were elusive but we saw 7 rhinos all together at one time including a baby, lions walked right near our jeep, I could go on forever it was sooo good. We had blankets and a hot water bottle on the morning drives which were very welcome until we got warmed up by the sun. Wifi worked great here and after our sundowner safari the firepits were lit so we could sit out with blankets and talk about our funfilled days. Jean-Luke is so much fun to be around he is a great guy and will go far, we miss him already. We cannot thank the staff enough for a fantastic safari experience which we hope to repeat sometime. If you are planning a safari you need AMAKHALA SAFARI LODGE you will not be disappointed.

Stayed there one night in May 2022. Terrific people, super game park. Giles gave us a great walking safari - he's super knowledgeable and friendly. Made us feel really safe. Rob took us on two game drives. Really nice guy and likewise really knowledgeable about the wildlife and the park. Tried really hard to show us interesting things, and it paid off with money shots of a female Cheetah and her cubs dining and playing. Would go again for sure.

We had a great time as a family. We enjoyed the warm welcome, the food and especially, Talks with Roger over dinner and enjoy his vast knowledge in the history of the area and SA. Above all, we enjoyed the fantastic game drives with Braun. It looks like he is one of the best guides in Amahkala. We made 4 drives, none of them was the same and saw all we dreamed for. Many thanks to Roger, Marion, and Braun for the wonderful experience.
