This is my favorite restaurant in Altea. Exquisite preparation of dishes, but not in an intimidating way. I love the first course with varying tapas. They have excellent fish selections, and changing dishes such as the suckling lamb. Everything is beautifully-presented. Since I live close, I often go alone, and they are very accommodating with being flexible with the menu, even for dishes that are for for a minimum of two people. Friendly, but professional wait-staff. The prices are higher than typical for Altea, but, to me, very reasonable for the quality of the food: amuse-bouche, first and second course, dessert, coffee, two glasses of wine and a glass of cava for 35 Euros.

Been coming here to Jean Michelle and Karen's Restaurant for nearly 10 years. Went to book before left UK but seemed they were close down on day we wanted. Fortunately we checked again and thank goodness we were lucky. The Gamba Prawns at simlpy the best you will get anywhere, Thai Thai Red Salmon Curry is my partners favourite dish anywhere and the Spicy Beef which is one of my favourites was on that night. It was a close call between that and the Lamb Tangiene. To Finish the lemon sorbet with vodka is a must although the good lady loves the Crepes. Service and ambience always first class and the welcome and recognition (even though we may only visit once a year) adds to the homely family feel. Value for money is first class as with 3 courses / 2 Beers and a bottle of wine cost was sub €100. Look forward to next visit.

Called in on spec one lunchtime, very fortunate to be seated during a very busy service. From the off the service was professional and attentive. For a 'menu del dai' the choices were excellent, Sabor might not be the least expensive option, but €18 for 3 courses of this quality and restaurant standards it is worth the little extra. We will return, hopefully for a dinner before we leave Altea. Certainly would recommend for lunch.

This is my mothers favourite cake shop and with good reason. Whenever she comes to visit us in Altea we go for coffee and cakes here. They are beautifully presented and taste fabulous. The location is perfect for when visiting the old town and has a lovely Seating area outside moments from the church. If you have a sweet tooth this is a must visit kind of place.

We picked this very charming restaurant because there were lots of people sitting there. The one waitress who was working this morning was working her socks off and she was doing a brilliant job. We ordered 4 breakfasts which came with fresh orange and coffee (wow btw - frothy milk served separately and a cream flower to add for taste). The breakfast I had was lovely, included fruit and hot items (egg, bacon and Vienna sausages). Overall we were very pleased. Our check took a while to arrive (we were airport bound!) but it also had a fab setting.

Arriving later than usual in old town, everywhere was crammed. Having read some great reviews about L'Airet, we made a beeline for this gem, just off the beaten track.
We were seated on the smallish Terrace (recommend booking this in peak summer months) with amazing views to Sierra Aitana and a great view of the church.
We ordered three tapas style starters and house special paella for 4. The waiter was engaging and patient with our attempts to work in Spanish.
Starters were generous size and great quality - special mention to the boquerones fritos.
The paella was magnificent, not huge portions but possibly one of the tastiest paella I've ever eaten.
Great experience, we'll be booking to make sure of repeat dining through the summer.
Highly recommended.

After having lunch in Altea we strolled through the streets and saw this Gelato shop and we all went in. There were about 15 of us in the group and the people behind the counter were very courteous and nice. We all bought gelato of many flavors and had a very wonderful time enjoying it. The service was excellent and friendly.
