One of the biggest wine stores of Portugal with more than 1000 wines to enjoy with your meal, served in beautiful surroundings - and you can take them home at the best prices. The kitchen produces the most delicious typical dishes of the Algarve barrocal, which have received several gastronomic awards. The cosy, warm environment and the rustic decor make for a comfortable, informal atmosphere. The regional homemade desserts will delight lovers of traditional sweets. For groups it is possible to reserve space in the wine store with a selection of the best dishes. You can now buy our wines online.
We visited Venezia twice during our two week stay at Paderne. The wine list is extensive but the wines are very well priced. The staff knowledge and recommendations for wine were really good. They gave suggestions without choosing the most expensive but concentrated on the most appropriate wine for the chosen dish.
The daily special rabbit dish was extremely good and crab and prawns was a very large portion.
We will certainly return next time we are staying in the area.

We were here about 2 years ago and found what we thought were the equivalent...or even BETTER....Pastei de Nada...than at the original place in Belem (it is almost sacrilegious to even write that!). We had lunch here - lovely setting overlooking the valley with a...MoreThank you fro writing your review about our coffee shop. Hope to see you soon for another Pastel de Nata ;-)

Located on the road from Ferreiras to Paderne, just about 6 km from Albufeira, you will find an unique place with a cosy and pleasant ambience, that take your gastronomic experience further ahead. Here Chef Ezequiel creates fusion cuisine, bringing regional flavours to an innovative concept, which surprises the palate, with small details that intensify the flavour. The traditional house, orange painted, the wood fired oven, the wall made of stones from the region, the ceiling lamps made of tree roots, are just a few more details that frame the essence of Xerém - delicious regional food. See you soon!
We are usual customers of Xerem every summer. The quality of the food continues above average. However, the service was not good, it took too long for the order to come (>40min to starters... more 30min for main plate and then almost 30min waiting for dessert)
Unfortunately not as expected

Located in the hills outside Albufeira
We were taken here by friends, who knew the route through the orange plantations. Lovely situation in countryside, with big eating area, cellar and shop. Good selection of 'covers', which meant we did not need starters. We had the fish kebab and the lamb chops. Portion sizes were way too big, so we took a lot of food back for our neighbour's dogs. Beautiful Deserts, especially the chocolate mousse. Well worth the visit, if we can find our way back! We bought some of the small Algarve Peppers Piri Piri sauce bottles from the shop. They came in a variety of spice strengths, indicated by the number of red peppers on the side of the bottle.

Ok, it's quite off the beaten track in Paderne and you go there just for the restaurant...I've been visiting this place for some 10 years and it continues to be a wonderful dining experience, with a good offer of Algarve countryside cuisine, delicious and varied.
Service is a bit informal, with two youngsters who do their best to please. They mean well, we're on holidays and this is not a Michelin-star restaurant.
Overall, Mouras ENCANTADAS continues to deliver a very good dining experience.

If you're travelling to Algarve's beutifull country side, you may try a visit at one of the most famous tipical village: Alte. You can visit the churches, narrow streets, take a natural water swim at "Fonte Grande" meet friendly people everywhere.
Then you can finish your visit having a nice meal at A Ponte (The Bridge) restaurant. The staff are so friendly and helpfull, talking some english end nice french. They always have a day menu with nice portuguese food, but If you spend some time in the area try to order in advance a special portuguese meal, so you'll find the greatest portuguese delicious flavors!! Try the 'cozido de grão' and 'feijoada'! AWSOME! And of course... The portuguese red wine!
The prices are very reasonable!
Don't forget to ask in the end, for the tipical Algarve drink: medronho! They have the original one!

Busy lunchtime for a large group of people but the staff did very well with all the differing orders and we all were ready to eat at the same time with no long waiting times
Food was good and I would assume the al la carte offering would be even better and will try that option next time

Breakfast is provided for 5 Euros and is a continental style buffet. Compared with many larger hotels the choice was limited, but perfectly adequate and good value for money. We were a little confused that hot options (bacon and scrambled eggs) seemed only to appear on some days and not on others. There were plentiful rolls, bread, jams and yoghurts. Fresh fruit though only appeared occasionally and on the other days a bowl of tinned fruit was provided. One type of sliced cheese and processed “ham” was available daily – not the best quality. Cereals were cornflakes, coco-pops, mueseli and oats. Separate gluten free cereal was available for one guest. A Kona coffee jug provided some of the worst tasting coffee imaginable, however a machine which ground its own beans provided good espresso. There were the usual selection of teas and tisanes. Fruit Juice, orange and apple were provided.
As we were staying on a half-board basis we ate at the hotel each evening. There is a separate half-board menu which provides a more limited range than the a la carte. The quality of the food however was very good indeed. Starters are limited to: pork pate, melon with cured ham, vegetable soup, or mixed salad – all came in generous quantity. Each day a main course special supplemented the menu and we opted for this most days. Again food was hot, cooked well, tasty and in generous quantity. Examples included grilled salmon trout with potatoes and veg (absolutely delicious), Wild boar stew with sauté potatoes. Desserts included, Tiramisu, chocolate mousse, almond tart etc. 0.5L of house wine cost 4.5 Euros and was eminently quaffable.
