With a population of just over 600 people, Niue's humble capital, Alofi, is home to much of the island nation's industry, its government and the only bank in the country. The area is marked by steep limestone cliffs, coastal caves and the beautiful Alofi Bay. 2004's Cyclone Hete caused extensive damage to the southern half of the city, but essential services such as the hospital and government buildings have since been rebuilt in more protected locations.

Located in Alofi, Niue Island, Falala Fa Café & Bar has been welcoming visitors and locals alike with warm hospitality, a menu cooked with care and a well-chosen beverage list all served in a relaxed atmosphere. Falala Fa is well known for its friendly staff and its selection of cuisine from the grill. Falala Fa's culinary team uses freshly caught fish and local produce to create delicious summer dishes - with an Island twist.
We booked a table for two, Reservations are advised, and had dinner here. Nice friendly staff, a good selection of food and drinks available. Was looking forward to the fish, but part of it was under cooked, however the rest of our meals were nice.

Went here with a party of 6, we had the fixed Japanese menu of delicious tuna and moon fish. Masses of food and variety beautifully presented washed down with warm saki. A lovely evening hosted by a great guy.

Located across the road from the Niue police station, this place pumps out some really tasty food and reasonable prices. We visited twice during our one week holiday. You can eat with a view out the back or inside and takeaway options are available. Toilets to the rear.
A good place to go if you want a burger and fries also. Friendly staff and lots of food choices.

One of the few eateries on the island that are open often consistently, and to my knowledge the only Indian restaurant on Niue. We didn't book a table, just showed up and sat down for a meal... inside and outside Seating options and friendly staff.
We had the butter chicken and madras, nice flavours and very filling. Nice naans and rotis also. A good choice of drinks and at reasonable prices. There is a takeaway option.

Only open Sunday from 1100 until very late. Rustic structure overlooking avetele beach and ocean. Self service bar- you write down what you have drunk and pay when you leave. Small selection of cooked food available all day (yummy)! Music all day (recorded). Popular with locals as well as visitors!! Don't miss!

With our 3rd trip to Niue we visited this restaurant now called R'Lina's.
Sonia was so friendly and welcoming and looked after us each visit.
We played darts with Sonia and Stan and other dinner guests and had a great night.
1 night we experienced a traditional "Umu" which Sonia spent all day preparing and cooking.
This is food cooked in banana leaves and baked in the ground with hot stones.
Absolutely delciious!
Other meals we enjoyed were fish and chips and chicken kebabs. Yum!
We also enjoyed karaoke 1 night which was hilarious.
This restaurant is spacious and so clean with an awesome ambience with great music, lights and delicious food.
The mozzies are quite bad at night on the island so cover yourself with insect repellant including your ears then you will enjoy yourself more when you go out to all the restaurants.
Thank you Sonia for making us feel so welcome. Your service was fabulous.
We will definitely be back!
I recommend this restaurant to all travellers.

We loved Vaiolama. This is a stunning spot overlooking the bay and yachts below. Great coffee, the rockmelon and mint smoothie was amazing. We stayed for a round of mini-golf which was lots of fun and very scenic. The food was great too. A must visit during your stay in Niue

In a northern location with nothing else nearby, so great stop in for a cold drink and a bite to eat on the way back from Matapa Chasm etc. Nice spot and reasonable food. We did have to wait over an hour for a order on the particular day we visited which was disappointing and they seemed to be running low on supplies which may have contributed. Otherwise good variety of food.
