Peaceful & Authentic
Reviewed By PosydonMonte Beato has a strong homely feel from the moment you walk in. The place is simple but authentic with a quaint fireplace in the common area and a communal kitchen. There's honey and almonds offered which are harvested from the property (its a working farm). Breakfast is simple but satisfying. The room I stayed in (room 1) was clean and comfortable with a large bathroom. The desk is slightly uncomfortable to work on and there's no chair so doing any work means sitting at the main communal table. Overall I enjoyed the stay and would definitely go back.

Quinta Solar da Portela offers a countryside location in Almodôvar, 11 km from the A2 motorway towards Lisbon and the Algarve. It offers a bar on site and free WiFi in public areas. Each air-conditioned room is individually decorated and includes a flat-screen TV. The private bathrooms come with a bath or shower. Restaurants can be found within 1 km from Quinta Solar da Portela, offering regional cuisine. Quinta do Solar offers catering services to large events, upon request and previous reservation. Reviewed By ElsaRosaLopesWe spent a weekend in this hotel and have the best references to give. The owners and staff are amazing. 5 star service and food in the restaurant. Rooms spotless and new swimming pool beautiful and clean. Felt safe and restful. If you want some quiet days away from routine and stress this is the perfect spot.

Reviewed By MrW909We were looking for serenity, natural beauty, friendly staff and good food and wine: this place most certainly delivered on all of these. We stayed in the “Essence” room. It was spacious with a balcony overlooking the dining area courtyard and the beautiful countryside beyond that. The bed was big and comfortable. A large bathroom with his and hers showers, the screed floor a bit slippery when wet so be careful. Everything super clean and organized. We met the owner briefly, but in that short time he quickly solved our main problem, which was transport to our next destination. Thankyou Ricardo, that was awesome for you to sort that out for us so quickly. This place is a really cool place to chill out in the beauty of the Alentejo countryside. It was so relaxing to go hiking around in the late afternoon or early morning. Even the dog was brilliant – it was as if he knew we were missing our own dogs and adopted us as his temporary best friend to make us feel good. The chefs in the kitchen prepared some of the best food we had in our Alentejo travels and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Great selection of wine. Very much recommend this place if you want to get off the beaten track but at the same time experience top quality hospitality.

Great value hotel in the middle of town
Reviewed By richcoyoteA friendly, relatively simple family run hotel with spacious, clean, well presented rooms with air-con and TV. A simple breakfast is also available. Located in the middle of town near lots of cafes and restaurants. Ideal for our short stay.

Ficamos num estúdio espaçoso (duas camas de casal, cozinha, sofá em L e WC). Espaço exterior fechado com árvores de fruto, mesas/cadeiras e bicicletas. Ideal para as crianças brincarem. Há uma cozinha de apoio no edifício principal (casa senhorial). A Ana é uma simpatia. Deu nos umas dicas dos sítios a visitar e onde comer. Pequeno almoço na pastelaria MImosa, na rua do lado. Frequentada por locais (estava cheio), com bolos/pão de fabrico próprio. Uma delícia.
