What a wonderful meal. We were traveling on business and found this place from trip advisor. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff was so friendly (and very accommodating of our lack of local language). The food was phenomenal and interesting. I had a delicious tomato soup and the wild boar was so delicious. The Deserts were fantastic. Had a lovely 3 course set price. Would return here again and again.

Thanks to De Beren in Almere you can enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner. In summer you can enjoy the nice weather on the big Terrace with a beautiful view over the "Weerwater".
I had quite another impression of the place. It's not a waoh place. The coffee however, was delicious. Return only for coffee? Don't think so. I would love to have something to eat as well. The food was so-so. Service? anthought there was not a full house it was very slow.
Tripadvisor: the rating knobs does not work.

A really excellent meal in a gorgeous waterside restaurant, great staff, really friendly and pleasantly informal with excellent service, what more could you want? Well, definitely the best fillet steak I've eaten for a long while and my partner's hake was beautiful, full of flavour and we'd eat the meal all over again if we could. The setting right on the water's edge made the entire experience complete

On the day of "Sint Maarten" went to this Restaurant for some takeway food.
Ordered 2 pasta's (vongole and frutti di mare) and 2 pizzas.
The pizza's were fantastic! Felt, smelt and tasted like the real delicious pizzas in bella italia!
On the other hand, we were not that satisfied with the pasta's. Both were prepared the same just one with vongole and the other with frutti di mare.
Had not much flavor, not impressed with the pastas.

All you can eat Japanese restaurant, bit Tapas style but with Japanese /Asian food.
Nice atmosphere and good food although portions are small, so All You Can Eat concept is the best value for money. Will certainly return but not too often as a little pricey in comparison to other similar places.

Good Greek food at a reasonable price. Most of the time life music during the weekends. Best Greek restaurant in Almere.

We love Thai food and seek it out whenever we travel and Thaicoon did not disappoint. The satay with peanut sauce was so good but the red curry with chicken was the best dish of the night....just the right amount of spice, texture and flavors. The pad Thai and green curry with beef were also really good. Actually it was all good.

Visited here August 2015.
We were a group of 6, and we all enjoyed our meals.
Started with a poppadom each, which were fresh and crispy. Pickles included something red and really spicy hot, be warned of that one.
Appetiser for me was veggie samosas. I think they were home made, had the proper pastry, and they were pretty good. Maybe a touch bland, but I ate them.
I had the prawn balti, which was not served how I expected in the small 'wok like' balti pan, but was served in what I can describe as a small bucket.
It was fresh and tasty, prawns were cooked expertly, not overcooked and like rubber. I chose medium hot, mainly based on the experience with the red sauce with the popadoms. Next time I'd ask for hot. Rice was good, and came with a veggie curry, which seemed to be mainly potatoes, which was a good. Also ordered butter naan bread which was very good indeed.
I also tried the aubergine veggie dish which we ordered as a side, and one of the group had the paneer which I tried and liked.
Wife had the mixed tandoori grill which she liked.
No complaints from the rest of the group.
The have both kingfisher and cobra beers, and I think Heineken on tap. Two of the group had the lassi which also had the thumbs up.
Too much food so no room for dessert, which was a shame because they had a few indian options which looked interesting.
A big call, but possibly the best indian in the Netherlands since Diya closed down.

Tried here for a change and was not disappointed. The ribs are the speciality and two of our party had them and were very pleased. I had the onion soup and the cod and it was delicious
Be aware they do not take credit card so make sure you have enough cash to cover the bill
