I took a ham-cheese tosti here for lunch, and it was good. I think it cost me 2.75 euros, which is very reasonable, considering the location in the old town hall, in the center of Almelo.

There was nobody to welcome us.
The first course was green salad, in small pieces, without oil and vinegar and you had to
look for the slice of stag terrine that should be anywhere.
The main course was codfishfillet.
But it was flabby and dry wih something muddy under it (mashed potatoes?)
The dessert was creme caramel (okay), but with too much whipped cream.

Chinese restaurant with exclusive dishes
This Chinese Indonesian restaurant is so good that we went to it twice in the same week. They offer a very varied menu, which makes it easy to find something nice, but on top of that, the friendly staff is eager to discuss with you what you like to eat that evening and to customize your dinner. The ingredients are fresh and of high quality and the food is very well prepared, very tasty and they have a great wine list. The interior is typical Chinese, but beautiful and well maintained. Absolutely not the average Chinese restaurant

The restaurant is situated in the city centre. Typical for the restaurant is the chimney that dates from the days that Almelo was dominated by its textile / cotton industry. On entering the restaurant over the little walkway over the pond, you immediately feel comfortable. A very nice member of staff welcomes you and brings you to your table or to the bar for an aperitif. The menu offers a wide range of dishes, from combination dishes with typical Greek food or more specialty choices, but all with a very nice Greek touch. The food is absolutely fabulous, from the Gyros to the Steak and when asked, they will over some very nice wine suggestions. Definitely a place that needs to visited more than once. A taste you will not easily forget.

Myself and a group of friends arranged to meet at Nielz for evening drinks. It was a warm evening and so lovely to sit outside on the wooden benches with lots of cushions, or the chairs around the tables. Someone came pretty quickly to take our order for drinks and snacks, but the actual serving of the order took around 10 minutes or more. It wasn't too bad though, considering just how many customers were sitting outside on the Terrace and the small number of servers! The serving staff were very polite. The atmosphere was nice. I will return in the future for another pleasant evening here.

Took an hour for food to arrive and when it did, it just wasn't worth the wait or the money! Also, nothing like any Spanish tapas I know.

A couple of weeks agoo they planted an old flat boat in the little water in front of Dock 19, they changed into a lovely little Terrace with umbrellas, let the fun begin, it looks adorable, a must try if you are in the neighbourhood.

I had an excellent meal here - really nice meat and cooked properly to order. Service was excellent, very friendly and attentive and were always ready to refill our drinks when they got low. We had a really excellent evening meal and they catered well for a large group of us
