Decorated in a charmingly rustic style with hints here and there of Algarve's nautical past, the O MARINHEIRO Restaurant, at Sesmarias in Albufeira, was founded over a decade ago and since then has enjoyed an excellent reputation throughout the region. The
We visited here when staying at the Baia Brande Hotel and was around a 5 minute walk.It was really busy with seating inside and out, a great menu for both food and drink. We ate the steak and duck and both were delicious.Would definitely recommend.

New restaurant, opened in March. What a place !! Nice mezzanine level lounge with comfortable chairs, very tastefully furnished dining area, and outside terrace. The food was amazing and the service top rate. The wine menu is large and details the vineyard and origin of each. This place has to do well on quality alone. We were made very welcome by the owner and staff on the two occasions we visited. Food recommendation - the owner's wife's homemade apple pie !!

We came here after reading reviews and were thoroughly satisfied with our experience. Had tapas--would recommend the algarvian squid and the Tasman shrimp. Also had the almond pie for dessert with vanilla ice cream. Totally blown away by presentation and flavours. You must come and taste for yourselves.

Open evenings, lunches served with advance bookings. Open Kitchen, two dining rooms and terrace.
We visited the restaurant on a couple of occasions previously had it was a warm and welcoming place with excellent, friendly service, a good menu and well prepared food. We were looking forward to returning but our experience was so bad we won't be going again and I certainly wouldn't recommend again. The waiter was friendly, made recommendations and took our order. The Tapas 24 starter is enough for 2 and is a good mix of meats and cheeses. Sadly that was where the enjoyable part of our evening finished. We had a salmon wellington which had been overcooked and had burnt pastry together with black pork which was tough and chewy. I mentioned this politely to the waiter who said he would pass the message on to the chef. We got no feedback or response whatsoever. The best butcher in the world can occasionally deliver meat which is below par but to ignore the complaint, particularly when it was clear from the plate that went back that so much had been left uneaten, is inexcusable. On 2 occasions a simple drinks order was mixed up and to cap it all we had to wait 30 minutes, even after 3 reminders, to get our bill. On the final reminder I was told the "machine had broken down" and it had to be done by hand. How long does it take to write down a handful of items and add it up? And why wasn't I told before 25 minutes? Things do go wrong from time to time but the test of any good business is how it deals with problems when they arise. This business failed badly. Avoid.yes we all have bad days, avoid!bit harsh.Im sorry to say your comments did not reach me so I did not ignore the complaintI simply was not informed.sorry you were let down.

Palm Beach has a great location virtually on the beach! Service was excellent & we shared a large red snapper which had been cooked to perfection! Plenty of veg, mixed tomatoes/pepper/onion salad with Portuguese style potatoes! Price was reasonable & local lager was very palatable. Well call again whilst weâre here!

Welcome to The Brasserie, a neighbourhood restaurant and bar. The ideal location for locals and travellers to the area. Our aim is simple â to give our guests a relaxing experience in a casual setting, with a good ambience, wonderful food, cocktails, beer
Staff were lovely and friendly. Drink order arrived quickly. Main course pork dish was very nice but mixed grill was the smallest we have seen. Children's spare ribs very nice but the Carbonara wasn't great. We got told there were only limited deserts as the kitchen was busy, fair enough, but they failed to tell us that the children's meal came with ice cream (as stated on the website which I read when home). As the desserts were served, after a long wait, my husband was told that his chocolate mousse would not be possible as some one had put it in the freezer. Whilst we were waiting we could hear another table being offered the full menu of desserts. It wasn't a bad meal but we will not be returning.
