The place to eat Pizza, Pasta and Portuguese food in Carvoeiro, Algarve. Ask for the house specialities.
Located away from the main Carvoeiro restaurant area and open to all comers (and not just those staying at Quinta do Paraiso) the trattoria has a comprehensive menu which include options for children. There is well spaced seating inside and in the attractive enclosed garden at the front. We used their pizza takeaway service (also available to order in the restaurant) on two occasions: generous toppings with a thin base, and ready to go within 10 minutes of ordering, all dealt with by efficient and friendly serving staff. It's also possible to order ahead by telephone and just come and collect. Recommended.

Good basic italian food. Open since 1984, Bella Napoli is known for having one of the best pizzas and pastas such as Lasagna and spaghetti with prawns. You can start your meal with a bruschetta or an anchovy crostiny. We also have portuguese food such as
We have visited this beautiful little Italian many times in holiday. The food and service are exceptional. The warm friendly atmosphere is quite addictive. The staff make you feel at home as soon as you enter. This restaurant is fantastic for families and couples alike. The food is so good, menu choice is fantastic. So reasonably priced. In our families opinion, please go visit, enjoy the welcome, enjoy the food.

Like Adventure Gold Alvor, I had Mama Mia recommended to me months in advance of us actually visiting Carvoeiro. Apparently the owner remembered my companions every year, even though at least 10-12 months had elapsed between visits.Mama Mia is located up on Monte Carvoeiro, up above the main town and, thus, away from the larger group of holiday makers. That being said, the restaurant always seemed busy enough, every time we went past and, ultimately, went in. The layout is good, with a reasonable inside space and a good outside seating area that lends itself perfect to early evening dining.Mama Mia is, obviously, an Italian restaurant and they certainly seem to specialise in this cuisine - even though the aforementioned owner (who incidentally DID remember my travel companions) is almost certainly NOT Italian. The collection of pizzas, lasagnas and calzones that ended up adorning our table were all very, very good and very enjoyable. The prices were reasonable - pretty much in keeping with the rest of Carvoeiro, whereby you can well imagine a stealth tourist tax has probably been added. However that doesn't matter - it is a very nice place to come and I would recommend anyone visiting Carvoeiro to climb the hill and visit Mama Mia.

La Mona Lisa is such a hidden gem. We chanced upon it for an early lunch. Even without reservations, they were able to seat our group of 12. We ordered a variety of dishes: pizza, pasta, garlic bread, salads. Everything is cooked from scratch and a large brick pizza oven does impressive pies. The seafood pasta I ordered was big enough to share and was tastier than similar dishes I sampled at some traditional Portuguese restaurants during our trip. The service is very friendly. The open-air seating makes for a lovely atmosphere.

We had a very nice meal here and the food and service could not be faulted. An extensive menu with plenty for most tastes and the waiting staff were helpful and friendly. The only downside was that tables are packed together quite closely making it noisy (despite being outside) and we did feel a little hemmed in by other people.Overall a lovely meal and we would probably visit again next time we are in the area.

Went here purely from tripadvisor reviews and we were not disappointed. After a week of miserable surely service from other local establishments, this place is a wonderful oasis. Quaint. Homely. Good value and delicious pizzas. Cannot be faulted. Gorgeous food. Lovely very friendly service. Great experience. â¤ï¸â¤ï¸
