If you are a steak lover, this is the place for you. There is a good selection of steaks to choose from, both South American and black Angus. I had the ribeye which was superbly cooked, nicely caramelised on the outside yet rare on the inside. Friends were equally impressed with their fillet steaks. The black pudding starter was excellent although there wasnât much of it. Thereâs also a good wine list. Service is good, weâll definitely be back next year

As per other reviews we weren't given a menu however seems to be what happens. Couvert then choice of tomato or green salad. Then chicken either piri or plain with fries. Finished off with small dish of melon, orange, almonds and currants.With drinks and coffee came to 18 euros for two. Whole experience service and quality of food was great. We will return next time we are in area. One NOT to be missed.Thank you very much for the positive feedback about your visit to Valdemar barbecue. Itâs a good restaurant if you are on a diet and like to pay too much for everything. Poor food, poor service, high price.These guys are in the wrong line of business.

We were walking to Benagil beach along the cliffs but were caught in the rain. Popped into this restaurant to escape the rain and have a warm drink.One coffee and a hot chocolate later, the rain had stopped and we were on our way again. Perfectly pleasant restaurant, slightly larger than it looks from the outside.

Really enjoyed our meal again this year at Casa Algarvia, the traditional dishes are really lovely and the fresh fish is fantastic. We had the same great service from by and large a similar serving staff, all very friendly and helpful.

A little tucked away this restaurant in an unassuming area 10 mins from the dock but wow different foods. The restaurant is nicely decorated in the style of the country the cuisine is from & good air conditioning. The staff were were accommodating in explaining the cuisine and recommending dishes. The childrenâs meal of marinated chicken & rice were enjoyed by my children & encouraged them to try some of our food. We tried the recommendation of the rice wraps. The waitress showed us how to put the rice sheets in the water bath & assemble the wraps - very entertaining & fun. We were not keen on the noodles but that was our taste so are separately from the wraps - good fun. The banana dessert was nice & sweet but not too much after a meal. Looking forward to going back & trying different dishes. A lovely experience, very nice staff working there, the food is different & the restaurant is decorated very nicely. 1st time my husband has tried this type of food but one of the restaurants he wants to return to.
