Algarve, Portugal Food Guide: 3 Japanese food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Faro

June 15, 2020 Vivienne Hutton

Reviews on Japanese food in Faro, Algarve, Portugal. Faro is the best-known city in Portugal’s deservedly famous Algarve region. There’s an archaeological museum and a “Bishops’ Palace,” a Renaissance cathedral that was heavily bombed during World War II, but later rebuilt. Nearby in Estoi are Roman ruins, and Albufeira, also nearby, is a formerly quaint fishing village influenced by the Moors in the 8th century. It’s situated in a cliffside location, and has become famous for its beaches (there are 20) and nightlife.

We ate here on our last night in Faro for something different and were very pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The food was lovely , fresh and beautifully presented. The menu choice is extensive and very imaginative with dishes having a fusion twist .The restaurant itself was elegantly decorated. The bill was reasonable for what we had. Delightful and would highly recommend!

I went here with work colleagues for dinner and we had a great experience.Truly yummy sushi, great mixed platter and delicious gyoza. If I had my preference I would have more rice options on the mixed platter but it was very popular with other dinners so it's probably just me.Great atmosphere especially outside on a warm night. The only odd thing was the toilet but it's not a big issue. All the staff are young and attractive, like all sushi places I think but it overall has great vibes.A great place for evening dinner and it doesn't leave you feeling full, unhealthy or bloated. Ideal!
