I ate at Muxama with my wife and a friend yesterday and we were really taken with everything. Very tasty food which was superbly presented too. Great house white and incredible desserts. Super-friendly service and very attentive. The restaurant itself is in a brilliant location, right on the beach. Not expensive either. We will definitely return when back in the area.

351 EDDY TAPAS Av. Infante D. Henrique Nr. 2, Loja F - Monte Gordo Tapas, Refeições de Fusão, Tapas, Bar, Cocktails, Animação
We ordered the seared tuna steak and tenderloin steak with cheese and walnuts. Both dishes were very well presented, well cooked, and tasty. The menu is a welcome change to many of the other restaurants that tend to replicate each other. Thank you very much for your kind assessment and so high ranking to us.See you very soon.351 Eddy Tapas

Ayamonte is delightful port town nestled on the Spiansh border and is well worth the trip. Many Portuguese do so to stock up on cheaper groceries and fuel. So, whilst your doing that stop for some refreshment. There is large choice and El Choco is found near the Marina on the waterfront. Popular with locals and the odd tourist the menu is tapas orientated but not as much as you might expect. Charming inner restaurant with wood panelling makes for its appeal. We found the gambas prawns really quite expensive so choose wisely. Better still ask the waiter!

We came here to have dinner on our way back to the hotel from the beach. We had soup for starter and we shared a portion of grilled fish. The soup was very good, even though a "vegetables soup" in a Portuguese restaurant does not promise anything special. The fish was definitely very delicious. Grilled in charcoal and to the level of any good restaurant in the country. The portion of the fish was 11 Euros, which not at all expensive for this part of Portugal. We were served by the man other reviews mention, which is probably the owner. The restaurant seems to be a family run. The staff was very nice (no fuss about us sharing and not having any wine) and, I dare to guess, prone to communication with foreign nationals. The place is nothing special. Ac inside, but we preferred to stay outside in a small area just off the bar room.

Had lunch here whilst visiting the area. Ideally situated by the side of the river, great views of the Marina. Staff were friendly and attentive. Large restaurant to the rear of the premises and more snack type meals and bar to the front of the building. Very pleasant to spend time after walking around the town and market on a very warm day. We considered it to be quite upmarket. The food and drinks we selected were most enjoyable.

It is with reluctance that I ever criticise service. Waiting on in a restaurant is hard work and not well paid.Putting down my handbag on an empty adjacent seat, which was not about to be used, the middle-aged waiter pushed the chair ostentatiously under the table...as if to make a point.I thought I had imagined this, but later, when reaching for a handkerchief I accidentally pulled the chair out slightly and it was pushed in again. With a dour manner he served the meal, which was standard Portuguese fare and perfectly ok. I understand he is not the usual waiter and that normally the staff here are delightful. If this is the case then he does the business disservice . This area thrives on tourism. Tonight, unusually, I felt that we were an irritation. The Grand Beach Restaurant about a hundred yards further down the road has more adventurous food and charming service.

SEM ESPINHAS GUADIANA is the first city Restaurant of SEM ESPINHAS group. Situated on the riverfront of Vila Real de Santo Antonio in a former Pombaline Style manor, it started its activity in May 2011. It offers regional-based fusion cuisine in an eclect
We checked TA, and found this restaurant at the top of the list, and as we were in town for a special birthday, reserved a table. On a Friday February evening it turned out to be very quiet, and for our first half hour had the undivided attention of a friendly and knowledgeable waiter, and having complimented him on his excellent English, had a good chat about his career in England and on cruise ships. Later I over heard him telling a Swiss couple how he had worked in Switzerland too, so he may just have been very âsimpaticoâ, but was clearly good at his job. The restaurant is very large and nicely decorated inside with a well-stocked bar, and interesting wall art. The menu is interesting, and we shared some octopus tentacles as a starter, and they were very tender and well presented. Our main of Steak Bohéme was a bit of a disappointment as the âsteakâ (Entrecôte) on the menu was in fact a rather pale veal, and the beer sauce was rather bland. Good hand cut chips and boiled vegetables were the accompaniment, but the cauliflower had a spongy texture as if marinated in oil before steaming. A massive plate of profiteroles with cream and ice cream completed a competent dinner, and we left feeling well satisfied.Thank you very much for your kind evaluation wich allows us to track the quality of our service and food. We are pleased that it has been positive overall but we will try the maximum score possible in the next time you join us, which is our only goal.Sem Espinhas Guadiana
