We are two friends visiting Azenha Do Mar beach and stopped by the restaurant for some drinks. The service was really poor and they treat us (asian people) like we were not going to pay the bill. I saw that they respect other foreigners but the behave was different to us. I was really disappointed with the service.

Very friendly service, albeit a bit slow. The fish pate that are commonly served before the meal (together with olives and bread) were of superior quality. The mackerel appetizers and the vegetable soup were both first class. The octopus and sweet potato dish was excellent, if a bit oily. The porc was a bit firm but tasty. Note that there are only three tables available outdoors and that they are located in a pedestrian street.

We've been to a few restaurants run by Silvia & her family over the years, they're always popular with locals as well as visitors as the food is great value and cooked to perfection. Lovely, friendly staff and just a great all-round experience. I had the seafood rice (pictured after I'd eaten a load of it - oops) Highly recommend! And the daily specials are always a great option.
Cafe Luna is a cozy space in Odeceixe where you can have a healthy breakfast & light meals, vegan gluten free cakes, chai or a cocktail in the evening. We source our ingredients locally and according to the season, and most of what we serve is homegrown a
Cafe Luna is a gorgeous little place run by an enterprising young Portuguese woman.Fantastic home made granola, fresh pastries for breakfast...We also stopped by for evening drinks (delicious capriños) with home made hummus and bread. One to come back to!

We had a superb late afternoon lunch here and couldn't recommend it more highly. The staff were friendly, helpful, spoke most languages and were quick at sorting us a table. The food: I had Razor Clams and my wife baby Squid and sweet potatoes was spot on. If you like fresh local seafood cooked in a simple but classic Portuguese way then this will tick the box for you. Puddings are also classic and the 'caramel cheescake' rather undersells a superb layered cream chocolate and caramel cake that is light and delicious. The view over the beach and river is amazing and I would imagine a dinner here at sunset time would be a perfect time to go too

We happened onto Taberna do Gabao while walking thru Odeceixe looking for an earlydinner. Host was very nice and welcoming (some places are not - especially early), made good recommendations, food was great & came fast. Atmosphere (on terrace) was lovely. Felt very authentic and local!

We sat outside on a perfect night. Waiter was good; not great. He recommended the meagre bream which was perfectly seasoned and grilled; steak-cut. Fantastic. My wife had sole, which was also amazing. The vegetables were boiled/steamed; very simple. We had a first course of yams and pork, which was excellent. Roasted peppers were very good too. Desserts were nothing special.

Breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, homemade juices and milkshakes, cakes, cocktails... And much more! Good atmosphere!!
I'm back to the area where I enjoyed my holidays some summers ago and I'll never give up. Bar da Praia was a good memory and keeps on it.I tried a "gilda", tipycal pintxo from San Sebastian, so good I couldn't avoid to order another one. I was recommended a tuna tartar as a main dish. Thanks. It's the best tartar ever tasted.Good food but especially remarkable is people who manage it. I appreciate some tips to reach special spots in the area they told me.

What an amazing find in this small town - situated on the top of the hill just behind the windmill. So well worth the walk up from the town centre/square.Fantastic tapas, beautifully presented and very tastey. Not the most expensive meal of our trip to this part of Portugal, but certainly the best.if you want to make it a cheaper eat, then chose the salad bowl followed by the fruit platter - both your wallet and your stomach will be satisfied. But, you must try the tapas.Lovely little restauarnt and very friendly and knowledgeable staff made for a great evening. We will be back next time we are in the area, for sure.Go here you will not be disappointed.

This was by far one of the most delicious seafood dinners we had the pleasure to eat. Everything was seasoned perfectly and presented beautifully. The service was outstanding in a beautiful environment. We will be back for sure.
