Tradional portguese food, seafood, grilled meat and fish, cataplanas...In Calhou restaurant you can enjoy a tasty and delicious meal! Bring your family and friends. We're waiting for you!
Found this through trip advisor. It's set away from town in a neighborhood. Still not a bad walk. Cute comfortable decor. Food was fabulous. We had the pork and clam cataplana which we shared. Could have probably fed three people. We ate until we couldn't eat anymore and hated that we couldn't finish it because it was so very good. Service was great. Highly recommended!

A new restaurant, only recently opened.I canât speak highly enough of this place, and it has jumped straight to number 1 in my own list of best restaurants in Lagos. Portuguese Tapas. A really good selection, and great portion sizes. The service is excellent, and they do a superb white sangria mixed at the table with Prosecco. We went twice in the 3 weeks we were in Lagos and this will be the first place we visit next time.

We searched this place out based on TA reviews and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent, really tasty and great quality. Most of us had the tuna steak and all gave it 10/10 and the chocolate mousse was so good! The service from the front of house team was fantastic they are passionate, really chatty and create a fun atmosphere in the restaurant. As previous reviews have said there was a 15 min queue to get in and probably a 30 min wait at the bar with drinks for a table but it was definitely worth the wait. Be patient you wonât be disappointed! This was our first visit to Casa do Prego but definitely wonât be the last. Thanks for a great evening!

We dined last night. Lovely restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty and beautifully presented and the restaurant ambience was very relaxing I had shrimps with tempura green beans drizzled with homemade aioli. They were enormous and so tasty. My husband had scallops with risotto which he really enjoyed. Mains were lamb shank with creamy mash and caramelised red onion and sea bass fillets with sautéed new potatoes, green beans, carrots courgettes and some sort of foam. No idea what kind of foam but it looked pretty and tasted lovely :-) Then we split a dessert between us of homemade coconut oannecota and pineapple ice cream. The ice cream was incredible. All accompanied by the House red which was the best weâve ever tasted. We would highly recommend and you need to book.Thank you for a beautiful dinner! Sam & Gary

Having been to the Avenida a few times we did not expect the service and food to have been elevated to new levels. The meal was amazing, service on point and Chef Roland and his team are serving the highest quality food with freshest ingredients. The scallops and food gras were superb and the main course beef cooked to perfection. Chef serve an amouse bouche of grilled marrow bone topped with caviar and roasted coriander seed which was delicious. Wine list would make great reading anywhere. Highly recommend.Dear Alan, Thank you very much for visiting our restaurant once again and leaving our restaurant with such a sensation. We are pleased to read that we exceeded your expectations and created a whole new level of gastronomic delights. Certainly we will forward your fantastic review to the Avenida Team and Chef Roland Klein and hope to have you back very time soon.

Looking forward to having dinner here after reading the reviews. The restaurant has lovely views which is very pleasant. We enjoyed the fresh bread and olives. The fillet steak, with sauce was certainly tasty, but tough. Creamed potatoes, really good, and the tiramisu was great. The big downside was that we were rushed through the meal. The restaurant was busy, but we went early and the courses came as soon as we had finished each one. A good restaurant spoilt really for us by the tough steak and rushed service.

Please note: We only can take calls between 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. We are an elegant, cozy, and intimate restaurant in the heart of Lagos. We serve Portuguese cuisine with a twist and always use fresh local ingredients. We provide a warm and attentive servi
Food, service, ambiance excellent. Tiny restaurant (around 24 covers in total), with a third of the seating outside. The food is wonderful, though quite expensive. Very much worth a visit. One problem. We tried to book on their website and tables are not offered after 6:30 (always says fully booked). So we called in person to ask for a table the following day - only 6:30 available on many days. So we reluctantly took 6:30 and as any tables emptied after 8:00 they would not take any passing trade, just leaving the tables empty. Strange. Maybe they like to get to bed early! Dear Steve,It is such a pleasure to read these wonderful words about your dinner at our restaurant!Thank you so much for sharing your experience here on TripAdvisor and recommending us.We are really happy to know that you enjoyed your evening with us.Once again, a big thank you and kindest regards from all of us at Real
Ordered the dorado fish, chicken salad & chicken curry. All meals were delicious. Large portions and quality food. It was quiet and non touristy. The language barrier was a bit of an issue since they did not speak fluent English.
