Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Faro. Faro is the best-known city in Portugal’s deservedly famous Algarve region. There’s an archaeological museum and a “Bishops’ Palace,” a Renaissance cathedral that was heavily bombed during World War II, but later rebuilt. Nearby in Estoi are Roman ruins, and Albufeira, also nearby, is a formerly quaint fishing village influenced by the Moors in the 8th century. It’s situated in a cliffside location, and has become famous for its beaches (there are 20) and nightlife.

The True Roman Flavour
We had a GREAT meal at this Italian restaurant, tucked away on a side street. From the extremely personable and charming waitress who had great recommendations for both food and wine, to the actual dinner itself, everything was perfect. We will definitely return and it is without a doubt one of the best restaurants we've eaten in in the Algarve region!

I purchased 2 pizzas and some garlic bread. 1 margharia and a Capriccio pizza. I personally would have added fresh basil to the margharia as well as fresh mozzarella. Not the case here. The garlic bread shouldâve had parmigiana or mozzarella at the very least. All the restaurants that came âhighly recommendedâ are mediocre at best. There is no beach access and really nothing to do in Faro.

Perhaps not the most exciting place but itâs good food for a fair price. The menu is Italian-ish with lots of pizza and pasta dishes plus a Portuguese twist. Like the pizza with roast beef and mustard, not very Italian but it was quite tasty. The pizza base is good. Not sure the pasta was home made but the pesto seemed to be, it was a bit bland. Bruschetta for starters were surprisingly good. The service was slow and kind. Not worth a drive but if you find yourself in the neighbourhood craving pizza itâs a good place to go to.

8 of us were stuck in Faro due to Ryanair cancelling our flight. Stumbled on this Brilliant Restaurant, lovely food, great service, particulaly considering we arrived just before they were due to shut. Probably the best lasagne Iâve ever had in a restaurant and the bruschetta was lovely. Fantastic, recommend it highly!

Myself, wife and 5 year old eat here 21/7/19 - fantastic service, the pasta was amzing, the spagetti was a black colour, very tasty. The size of the garclic bread was huge! The swordfish was cooked to perfection and a house bottle of red was five euros. Would definetly return.

Delicious pizza and great service. I wish they offered a vegetarian option for their 8⬠lunch deal (pizza or pasta, salad, drink) but the 4 cheese pizza is delicious and the crust is perfectly crispy.Thank you very much for your visit. Regularly have try to have one of the 3 vegetarian dishes during the midday dishes.
