To emphasize the high quality and charm of the Hotel (designed by the world renowned architect Tomás Taveira) to serve golfers, leisure / beach and businessmen. The 93 luxurious rooms offer a unique view of the golf course.
Higher Quality room option would be good. The lighting in the lower floor adjacent to the stair case fails to come on or a light fitting on the stair case is not working leaving the ground floor very dark at night we were in room 105/1

With the price an absolute price value winner. However, everyone should be aware that it is quite out of date, with some rust in the bathroom. Also indoor pool e.g. require a swimming cape like 40 years ago (sauna was closed due to covid). Service extremely helpful and friendly. Excellent communication with Maria. The room was one of the most interesting and modern we stayed whilst in the smaller villages. Clean, so comfortable and located right next to the main square of this incredibly quaint town. We loved the location, setting and history. Maria provides great information about the place - both from a historical and current day perspective.

We had booked this place for 2 nights and are very enthusiastic about it. The apartment we had was clean and comfortable. But the most special about this place is the location (next to an old windmill on the top of a hill) with a magnificent view.

We are a family of 6. We had 2 "houses" - one was 2 bedrooms and a living roomn, the other was a bedroom, loft with 2 beds and a living room. Both were furnished and decorated with interesting art. Great views from both. Breakfast was delivered to our room in a cork basket. Pool was amazing overlooking the river. Wish we had more time to explore!

Set in a remote position on a promentary on a huge lake, Casa da Ermida consists of a huge, architecturally interesting communal space with a kitchen and single story bedrooms attached. There is a penthouse suite above the communal space. It is indeed quite a drive along the unmade road to reach it, but the turning is well sign-posted and easy to find. Not staying in the suite, our room was quite small and basic but comfortable enough. Although there was no air conditioning, the ceiling fan kept our room, which was on the shady side of the building, very cool. Joao and Isabel were extremely welcoming. Although they spoke little English, they did speak Spanish and French. Breakfast was good with lovely freshly squeezed orange juice and lots of choice, although we disappointed Isabel greatly by our inability to do it justice. We drove out to a restaurant our first evening and stayed at home the second, opting for the 'picnic' which was served outside on the veranda overlooking the lake. It was good and filling, but possibly over-priced for what we ate (some salad or tomatoes would have been nice to accompany the chicken pies, hard boiled eggs, cheese and bread). The countryside, in September, was quite bare and the lake a glittering jewel. With the temperature hitting 38 degrees whilst we were there, we enjoyed swimming in the cool lake. At this time of the year, the lakeside was very steep and stony, so possibly not suitable for young children. Unfortunately it was too hot to do much walking but we strolled along to the old chapel nearby, and also enjoyed sitting on the veranda watching herons, chiffchaffs and other birds. It was a bit hot for kayaking. Overall, a very relaxing stay.

we were passing by that appartment and out of sudden the landlord came by with some other guests. I asked him if it is possible to see the room. he opend the door of the appartment but did not allow me to enter the room. he insisted that I book a room on booking.com first. the only thing I wanted was to check the bed since I have serious back problems. then we left.

We stayed 3 nights. Breakfast was abundant and good. Quiet place for a good sleep. Lots of space with bed area, living room, bathroom and basic kitchen. Would have liked a microwave or at least a kettle to boil water. Wifi excellent. We had been staying in cities, and this was the perfect choice for a more authentic stay. Best of all, a little restaurant a 2 minute walk away had the best, basic, slow cooked, authentic food... so tasty, we went back every day for lunch and tried something different! Portions were huge and they happily gave us a take away box, so we had the left overs for dinner, equally good. I think the name was Nicoles Cafe, although the receipt for the meal said ‘Sports Bar’. Anyway, we were very impressed by this little restaurant and their fresh, tasty food. Meal of meat or fish, salad, bread, olives, potatoes was 9 Euros.

I had a wonderful stay at Monte Novo with my partner. The facilities are great: modern clean and luxurious. The location and the view (of the Montargil dam) are amazing. The place is very quiet and relaxing. The service in particular the restaurant is outstanding: people are very nice and accommodating and the Chef, Sr. Carlos, is very talented and creative. Ideal for a romantic getaway!
